A Chui minden buildje, a legújabb elöl — mi változott, és mit
látsz belőle. Egy kiadás egyszerre kerül ki az iPhone-appba, a chui.io-ra és a
Mac-appba. A legújabb a 0.1.3.187, 2026-09-30 · 17:42 (UTC−5). A TestFlight csak az
utolsó néhány build jegyzeteit őrzi meg, ezért ez az oldal a nyilvántartás. A
jegyzetek angolul íródnak, és angolul is maradnak.
0.1.3.187Mac & Windows 0.2.187
Chui in Hungarian, and summaries in the meeting's own language
Chui can now be used in Hungarian. Every screen, notification and email, the watch and the Lock Screen card appear in Hungarian if your device is set to it, or if you choose it under "Language" in "Settings". (#1197)
A meeting held in a language Chui's screens are not translated into, such as Polish, now gets its "Summary" written in that language. Before, the summary for such a meeting could come back in English.
On the "Ask about your meetings" screen, "Add Chui to Claude" now opens Chui's page in Claude's own directory, where you press Connect to Claude. "The steps, screen by screen" no longer appears for Claude, because those steps are no longer needed, but it is still there for ChatGPT.
A chui.io link pasted into WhatsApp or another chat now shows a proper picture card instead of just the app icon.
A meeting is no longer marked "Failed" when one step of its processing gets no answer. Chui now tries that step again, and the meeting goes on to its transcript and summary. (#1192)
0.1.3.186Mac & Windows 0.2.186
Tapping a share button twice no longer reports a failure
On a phone, tapping "Send" or "Send yourself the link" a second time while the share sheet is still opening now just opens the one sheet. Before, the second tap was counted as a failed attempt and could say something had gone wrong, even though sharing worked. This covers a meeting's "Send", the card offering Chui for your computer and the "Ask about your meetings" screen. (#1189)
0.1.3.185Mac & Windows 0.2.185
Prices in your own currency, and a yearly plan for teams
On a Mac or at chui.io, Chui Pro is now priced in your own money: euros, US dollars, pounds, Canadian dollars or Swiss francs, for both the monthly and the yearly option. You pay in that same currency. (#1182)
A team can now pay by the year as well as by the month. On a computer, the team's payment card shows both side by side, each with the whole team's bill, and the line beneath follows whichever one you pick. (#1182)
Team invitation emails now go out in the invited person's language if they already use Chui, and in the language of the admin who sent the invitation if they do not. Before, a person new to Chui always got the email in English.
In the list of accounts, in "Settings" or in the Mac menu, a team account now says "Team" before its plan, so it no longer looks like a personal one. If the company name is too long to fit, the name is shortened instead of the word "Team". (#1188)
On a Mac or at chui.io, the corner of the side panel now names the account you have open, so it changes when you switch to a team account. It used to show your own name whichever account was open. (#1188)
0.1.3.184Mac & Windows 0.2.184
Phone recordings finish properly, invitations in the reader's language
When a meeting recorded on your phone had fully reached Chui, the phone could keep showing it as "Uploading" or mark it "Failed", even though nothing was missing. It now goes on to "Done" and gets its summary. (#1181)
Team invitation emails are now written in the invited person's language. An address that has never signed in to Chui gets English, and someone who already has an account gets the language they use in Chui. The email sent when you "Withdraw" an invitation follows the same rule. Before, both emails were in the language of the admin who sent them.
0.1.3.183Mac & Windows 0.2.183
Clearer microphone messages in the browser, fuller Windows recordings
In a browser at chui.io, if you press "New recording" and close the browser's microphone question without answering, Chui now asks you to try again and allow the microphone. Before, it told you to close other apps. (#1174)
If the microphone is blocked for chui.io in your browser, the message now points you to the browser's own settings for the site. Before, it sent you to a phone Settings screen that does not exist on a computer. (#1174)
On Windows, if sound was already playing when you pressed "New recording", your own voice could be missing from the whole recording. Your voice and the meeting audio are now kept together from start to finish, including after you unplug and replug a headset or microphone. (#1176)
0.1.3.182Mac & Windows 0.2.182
Invoices on one page, team invitations by email, desktop menus
On a Mac or in a wide browser window, the "⋯" beside a team member now opens a small menu right under it, and confirmations appear as a dialog in the middle of the window. They used to slide up from the bottom of the window, the way they do on a phone, and on phones they still do. (#1159)
On a Mac or at chui.io, every offer of Chui Pro now starts with the free trial and how many days it lasts, with the price after it. This applies when you have used up your free meetings, when you open a locked meeting, on "Subscription" in "Settings", and on the team's payment card. (#1164, #1160)
If you pay for Chui by card, a new page under "Subscription" shows your plan, your next charge, the card you pay with and every past charge. Each charge has an invoice and a receipt you can open. (#1163)
If you are an admin of a team that already pays, inviting a colleague now shows what the extra seat costs today and what your next bill will be, before you confirm. You are charged the price you were shown. (#1169)
Chui now emails team invitations: the invite screen says "Chui emails them the invitation", and the invited person's row tells you if the email did not arrive. When you ask a team for a seat, Chui says it has emailed the admins only when the email actually went out, and otherwise asks you to tell them yourself. Before, Chui sent no email at all. (#1168)
0.1.3.181Mac & Windows 0.2.181
Subscription prices on iPad and steadier recording recovery
On iPhone and iPad, the "Subscription" screen now shows the monthly and yearly prices even when the App Store is slow to answer the first time. If the App Store still gives no prices, Chui says so and offers "Get Pro on chui.io" instead. Before, on an iPad the screen could show no prices at all, leaving no way to pay. (#1152)
When "Restore purchases" finds that you already have Pro, every button to buy Pro disappears from the screen straight away. (#1152)
If the card "An unfinished recording on this phone" appears at the top of your meetings and you tap "Recover", you can now lock the phone while it says "Stitching…". Chui keeps running and the meeting comes back. Before, locking the phone at that moment could close Chui before the meeting was recovered. (#1146)
0.1.3.180Mac & Windows 0.2.180
Browser microphone warning, smoother Apple sign-in and a free trial
On your phone, tapping "Sign in with Apple" a second time while Apple's window is still opening no longer stops sign-in with an error. Sign-in now carries on as normal.
When you record in a browser at chui.io and Chui gets no sound from your microphone, a line appears after about twenty seconds saying "Chui cannot hear the microphone" and asking you to check that it is not muted and which microphone the browser is using. Before, a meeting could come back empty with no warning. Pressing "Pause" does not set off the warning. (#1140)
Getting Chui Pro on chui.io now starts with a free trial. On the "Subscription" screen, a line under the two prices, just above "Get Chui Pro", says how many days are free and that your card goes in now but is first charged only after them.
During the trial, your subscription shows "First charge on" with a date instead of "Renews on".
0.1.3.179Mac & Windows 0.2.179
Fixes and improvements
If your team is tied to a Google or Microsoft work sign-in, its admin now has a switch on its own card on the "Team" screen, above the invitations, that lets colleagues from your company join without waiting for you to press "Approve". The line under it names your company's domain and says what each colleague adds to the bill. (#1128)
A team's admin can now pay for the team from Chui on iPhone and on the Mac. In the United States there is a button that opens chui.io to pay; elsewhere Chui says where to go. Before, there was no way to pay from the phone. (#1129)
The "Team" screen keeps its list of people in place when you leave and come back. It used to flash "Reading the team…" and redraw every time. (#1130)
On Windows, a first meeting could record only silence. Chui now tells you straight away when it cannot hear your microphone. It also keeps recording the meeting audio even while nothing is playing through your speakers. (#1134)
On Windows, some microphones and speakers were refused outright, and a meeting recorded through them came back with nothing in it. They now record normally. (#1135)
Once a meeting shows "Done", Chui no longer transcribes it again, rewrites its summary or sends a second notification when the phone sends the same recording a second time. (#1136)
0.1.3.178Mac & Windows 0.2.178
Nothing new to see in this build
This build has no changes you can see or use in Chui; the work in it was behind the scenes.
0.1.3.177Mac & Windows 0.2.177
Meetings stopped from the Lock Screen arrive on their own, and account switching
When you press "Stop" on the Lock Screen of your iPhone and leave Chui closed, the meeting now reaches you with its "Transcript" and "Summary" within a few minutes. Before, it could wait until you next opened the app, sometimes an hour or more. (#1110)
If you open Chui right after stopping from the Lock Screen, the meeting appears once in "Meetings" with a single summary. Two short meetings stopped back to back from the Lock Screen both arrive complete. (#1110)
One sign-in can now hold several Chui accounts, such as a personal one and a company one, and you can switch between them. The list of accounts is in "Settings", and on a computer also in a menu in the corner of the side panel. When you sign in again, Chui opens the account you used last. (#1118)
0.1.3.176Mac & Windows 0.2.176
Recording from a Shortcut, and meetings a phone stopped sending
If the phone recording a meeting was switched off or stopped sending partway through, the meeting could say it was still recording for hours. Chui now puts it together from the sound that reached it, with a transcript and a summary, and a note that the last minute or so may be missing. (#1103)
In a wide window with no meetings yet, a button to start recording now sits right under "Record your first meeting". Before, there was no button there. (#1043)
In "People", when you rename someone to a name another person already has, the "Merge" button on the question that follows no longer looks greyed out. (#1046)
If you use Chui from an assistant, as set up under "Ask about your meetings", it can now invite a colleague to your team, approve a request for a seat, or ask to join a team. It asks you before each of these. (#1111)
0.1.3.175Mac & Windows 0.2.175
Nothing new to see in this build
This build has no changes you can see or use in Chui; the work in it was behind the scenes.
0.1.2.174Mac & Windows 0.2.174
Share call recordings from Notes, and long phone meetings kept
On the iPhone, a meeting's share and search buttons now sit side by side at the end of the top line, and the meeting's name uses the full width below them. The search button stays on screen on a narrow phone, even when you opened the meeting from someone's page in "People" and the back button shows their name.
On the iPhone, you can send a call recording to Chui from the Share button at the top of a note in the Notes app. Chui turns it into a meeting with a transcript and a summary. If the note holds no recording, Chui says so in one sentence and points you to the recording's own "•••" menu instead. (#1086)
A long meeting recorded on the phone while it was locked and carried around is now kept in full. Before, only the first part could survive, and nothing said the rest was missing. If a part is ever missing now, the meeting shows "Recording was cut short" or "Short gaps in the recording". (#1084)
If you use Chui from an assistant, as set up under "Ask about your meetings", you can now ask it to send Chui an idea or a feature request, and it arrives as an idea. Before, the assistant could only send a problem. (#1091)
0.1.2.173Mac & Windows 0.2.173
Videos on iPhone, recordings on Android, and a tidier Settings
On the iPhone you can now bring a video into Chui, either by sharing it from another app or by tapping "Import" and picking it from your files. Chui makes a meeting from its sound, with a transcript and a summary, just as it does for an audio recording. A video with no usable sound says "Chui found no sound it can read in this video. Choose another file."
On Android, Chui now has an "Import" button for recordings you already have, and other apps can share audio straight into Chui. Before, there was no way to bring an existing recording into Chui on Android. (#1085)
After you tap "Import", "Uploading the file…" now appears only once you have actually chosen a file. Before, it could appear even if you backed out of the file picker without choosing anything.
"Settings" now opens each section as its own page, on a phone and on a wide window alike. Before, everything sat on one long scrolling page. "Language" and "Appearance" are now inside "App", and your meeting reminders are inside "Coming up and reminders". (#1070)
"Settings" now has a "Team" group near the top, with one page listing who is in the team and another showing what the team costs. Everyone sits in one list under the "Invite" button: you, your colleagues, people you have invited and people asking for a seat. Each person's "⋯" menu offers only the actions that fit them, such as "Remove", "Withdraw", "Approve" or "Decline". (#1071)
On Android, tapping a Chui link now opens it in the app. Before, a tapped link could occasionally do nothing at all. (#1089)
0.1.2.172Mac & Windows 0.2.172
Signing in with Apple on iPhone no longer trips over itself
On the iPhone, tapping "Sign in with Apple" twice in quick succession now simply opens Apple's sign-in window. Before, the second tap cancelled the window that was already on its way and Chui showed an error instead. (#1068)
If you leave Apple's password prompt without finishing, you can tap "Sign in with Apple" again straight away. Before, Chui could sit there waiting for a sign-in that was never coming. (#1068)
Under "Calendar" in "Settings", the buttons for connecting a calendar are now at the top. The long explanation that used to sit above them is gone. (#1069)
0.1.2.171Mac & Windows 0.2.171
Cancelling a sign-in on iPhone is no longer treated as an error
On the iPhone, if you tap "Sign in with Google" and then tap "Cancel" on the phone's own question about signing in, Chui now simply takes you back, and tapping "Sign in with Google" again carries on normally. Before, Chui showed "The sign-in window did not open", as if something had broken. (#1067)
The same now holds when you cancel that question while adding a way to sign in under "Ways to sign in" in "Settings", or while connecting a calendar under "Calendar". Chui now treats it as your choice, not as a sign-in window that failed. (#1067)
0.1.2.170Mac & Windows 0.2.170
Meetings in progress now reach your assistant
If you have connected Chui to an assistant, it now sees a meeting that is still being recorded: it calls the meeting unfinished, says how long it has been going and shows your notes. Before, it described such a meeting as empty.
A meeting you start on the phone with no connection now shows in your assistant as in progress once the phone is back online, with its length given as "at least" a certain time. Before, the assistant could not see that meeting at all. (#1062)
On chui.io in a browser, if you close the browser's own question about notifications without answering, Chui now offers "Allow notifications" again later. Before, closing that question switched notifications off for good in that browser. (#1066)
The Chui website now shows that the phone app is on the App Store. It had still been describing the app as a test version.
0.1.1.169Mac & Windows 0.2.169
Behind-the-scenes work only
This build has no changes you can see or use in Chui; recording, transcripts and summaries work as they did before.
0.1.1.168Mac & Windows 0.2.168
Briefings before repeat meetings, and long recordings split in two
For a repeating meeting from your connected calendar that you have recorded before, your phone now shows a briefing about ten minutes ahead instead of the usual reminder. Tapping it opens a screen with "Last time", "People" and a button to record. In "Coming up", such a meeting now shows "Open" instead of "Record", and opens the same screen. (#299)
"Coming up" and meeting reminders now count a calendar entry as a meeting only when you and at least one other person are on it, so personal reminders and family schedules no longer appear there. Under "Which meetings" in Settings you can choose "Only with other people" or "All meetings". (#1053)
When one long recording holds two or three separate conversations, a card above the summary now offers to split it into separate meetings, each with its own times, title and people. You can split it or keep it as one meeting. (#1056)
On the phone, a recording now carries on after you pause it, take a call and tap "Resume". Before, a recording could stop for good after a call, and the rest of the meeting was not recorded. (#1057)
Tapping "Take it" after "Photo" during a recording no longer freezes the screen for a while. (#1059)
When you hold the phone sideways to take a photo during a meeting, the camera picture now turns with the phone, and the photo is saved the right way up. Before, the picture could stay sideways or be cut off. (#1058)
0.1.1.167Mac & Windows 0.2.167
Import meeting videos on a Mac or Windows, and attach files there
In Chui for Mac and Chui for Windows, "Import" now also takes a video of a meeting (mp4, m4v or mov), and it becomes a meeting with a transcript and a summary, just as an audio file does. Before, it took audio recordings only. (#1049)
If a video you import has no sound Chui can read, you now see "Chui found no sound it can read in this video. Choose another file." instead of getting an empty meeting. (#1049)
In a meeting on the Mac or Windows app, the paperclip now lets you attach any file, and it appears under "Files". (#1049)
On the phone and in the browser, "Import" still takes audio recordings only. For a video, use the Mac or Windows app. (#1049)
0.1.1.166Mac & Windows 0.2.166
Voices told apart in very long meetings
In a meeting that runs for several hours, the transcript now tells the voices apart and recognises the people you have named, instead of labelling everyone "Speaker". (#1035)
0.1.1.165Mac & Windows 0.2.165
See what you attached, and import recordings on a Mac or Windows
While you record on the phone, the photos and files you attach now show in the notes box's own toolbar beside the paperclip, and tapping a photo opens it full-screen. "Photo or file" only appears while nothing is attached yet, and the notes box now reaches all the way down to "Discard" instead of stopping above an empty band. (#1023)
If Chui is not allowed into your photo library, the sheet for adding things now shows the camera and "Choose photos" side by side. It used to show an empty row with a link left on its own underneath. (#1023)
Chui for Mac and Chui for Windows now have "Import" on the meetings list. It opens your computer's usual file window, and the audio file you pick is uploaded and becomes a meeting, as it already could on the phone and on the web. (#1034)
A long recording made on the Apple Watch now goes to the phone in pieces, and the phone shows its progress, for example "14 of 60 pieces transferred". Before this, a very long watch recording could fail to reach the phone at all. It now arrives and appears in your meetings. (#1022)
On a Mac, a recording of a phone call now keeps going when the call starts, ends or switches speakers. Before, it paused for a moment each time, and a few seconds of the meeting were lost at every switch. (#1018)
0.1.1.164Mac & Windows 0.2.164
A tidier meetings list, and fairer labels for short gaps on a Mac
On the phone, every mark on a meeting row, such as "Transcribing", "Imported", "Over the limit" or "Recording was cut short", is now the same rounded pill outlined in the colour of its own word. Until now there had been two different styles. (#1010)
At the bottom of the phone's meetings list, the last meeting now fades softly away above "New recording" instead of being cut off flat under it, and the button looks the same as it does on the Mac. While you record, "Discard" is now a proper button rather than a lone red word. (#1010)
In a meeting with several speakers, the row of names now fades out at whichever end has more names hidden, instead of cutting a name in half. (#1010)
A Mac recording that lost only a second or two here and there is no longer labelled "Recording was cut short". It now shows a calm "Short gaps in the recording" card that says how many gaps there were and where they fall. A recording that really stopped says when it stopped and for how long. (#1019)
On a Mac with a wide window, "Coming up" and the suggestion cards now sit in a column beside your meetings instead of on top of them. A third of the window had been left empty. (#1009)
A brand-new account now opens on "Record your first meeting", in the middle of the screen with the recording button right under it. Before, most of that first screen was empty. (#1008)
0.1.1.163Mac & Windows 0.2.163
Chui for Windows now updates itself
Chui for Windows finds and downloads new versions on its own, then asks before it closes: press "Install now" and it installs and comes back. Until now it could not update itself at all, and updating meant closing the app by hand. (#1005)
If you would rather not stop what you are doing, just quit Chui normally and the update goes in as you leave — Chui stays closed instead of reopening on you. (#1005)
Pressing "Install now" during a recording no longer closes the app under you: Chui waits, keeps recording, and asks again the moment you stop the meeting. (#1005)
On a Mac, updating works exactly as it always has, including "Check for Updates…".
0.1.1.162Mac & Windows 0.2.162
Nothing visible in this build
This build has nothing a person can see or act on — the work went into our servers and the checks we run before a release, and no screen, control or behaviour has changed.
0.1.1.161Mac & Windows 0.2.161
Chui for Mac updates itself again, and Android can buy Pro
If you press "Check for Updates…" during a recording, Chui now answers "Chui will update as soon as the recording ends." and tells you how it went once you have stopped — and nothing about downloading or updating ever appears over the record screen. (#999)
"Update now" no longer sits there doing nothing when an update is already installing: it either carries on or says plainly what is happening. (#999)
After a Mac has been asleep for a day or more, Chui looks for a new version within a minute of waking, rather than waiting hours. (#999)
On an Android phone, "Subscription" in Settings opens again and "Get Pro" completes the purchase and switches Pro on. Buying Pro on Android had not been possible. (#871)
0.1.1.159Mac & Windows 0.2.159
Nothing visible in this build
This build has nothing a person can see or act on — no screen, control or behaviour in the app has changed.
0.1.1.158Mac & Windows 0.2.158
Nothing visible in this build
This build has nothing a person can see or act on — the work went into the checks we run before a release, and no screen, control or behaviour has changed.
0.1.1.157Mac & Windows 0.2.157
Question cards read names back exactly, and a copied meeting keeps its name
Questions such as "Delete meeting", "Remove" on a file and "Rename" now read a name back exactly as you typed it, including dollar signs and braces. Odd punctuation used to mangle or duplicate the sentence. (#931)
On a small phone, "Report a problem" keeps its question visible when the keyboard comes up, and the card scrolls so "Cancel" is reachable. (#931)
On a Mac or in a browser, pressing Tab inside a confirmation card now moves only between that card's own buttons and comes back around, instead of landing on things behind the dimmed background. (#931)
Copying a meeting out now puts its name at the top as a heading, instead of leaving it looking like the first thing somebody said. (#927)
The three buttons on "Connect your calendar" are the same width, and each label sits on one line. (#919)
0.1.1.156Mac & Windows 0.2.156
Recordings survive the app being stopped, and answers appear where you pressed
If Chui is stopped while a recording is running, opening it again within a few minutes puts you back on the same recording with the clock still going and your notes in the box, and "Stop" where "Discard" had been. Until now that recording simply ended and nothing carried it on. (#973)
A meeting you paused for a while and then carried on with is no longer wrongly labelled "Recording was cut short" when it is finished. The pause itself was being counted as missing audio.
Pressing "Play" now always answers within about ten seconds: either the recording starts, or "This recording cannot be played." appears directly under the play button instead of far below the transcript. (#981)
On a Mac or in a wide browser window, "Settings" now puts its reply right under the card you pressed — "Sign out on other devices", or "Reconnect" under "Calendar" — and shows it again if you press a second time. The reply used to land at the very bottom of the page, out of sight. (#976)
0.1.1.155Mac & Windows 0.2.155
Calls that block recording, sign-in that answers, correct yearly price
Pressing "New recording" while you are on a phone call now says "A call is using the microphone" with a "Retry" button under it. It used to blame other apps that had nothing to do with it, which sent people looking in the wrong place. (#978)
"Sign in with Apple" now gives you an answer within a few seconds if the sign-in window never appears, and says something gentler if the window was simply pushed aside by something else on screen. It could sit on "Signing in…" indefinitely — one person waited more than nine minutes. (#962)
When you have used the month's free meetings and also have older locked ones, the meetings list now asks for Chui Pro once at the top, with a quiet plain-text way in at the foot. The same offer used to appear twice on one screen. (#972)
Buttons that hand a page to your browser — "What's new", "Chui for desktop", the invitation link, "Connect" on the assistants card and "The steps, screen by screen" — now say so when the page will not open, and that sentence stays on screen instead of being wiped a moment later by the list refreshing underneath it. (#975, #957)
Under "Subscription" the yearly plan reads €99.99 a year everywhere and in every language; one place had it a penny short. If only one of the two plans is on sale, that one is now drawn properly rather than leaving half the screen blank. (#974, #977)
The download page on chui.io now leads with the machine you are reading it on, names the Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android apps, and on a computer starts the download by itself with a line saying which one it is fetching. (#982)
0.1.1.154Mac & Windows 0.2.154
Settings rows re-date themselves at midnight, and the download link works with a trailing slash
Left open past midnight, Settings now moves rows under "Public links" and "Devices" from "today" to "yesterday" on its own; they used to keep calling yesterday's meetings today's until you reopened the screen. If a question such as stopping a link is standing open when the day turns, nothing is rewritten under your hand — the screen catches up once you answer. (#913)
A connected calendar with no meetings on the day now stays connected and healthy. It had been treated as unreachable and offered "Reconnect" even though it had been read perfectly well. (#944)
The chui.io download address now opens the Mac and Windows downloads when it is pasted with a slash on the end, instead of a page saying the file does not exist. (#946)
0.1.1.153Mac & Windows 0.2.153
Shared links open in the reader's language, and clearer meeting names
A meeting you share by link now opens in the reader's own language, and the header of that page lets them switch between six languages with the link still working. The page used to come up in the language the meeting was held in, with no way to change it; the summary and transcript stay in whatever was actually spoken. (#980)
On a Mac, a call held in a browser tab is now offered for recording under that browser's name — there had been a row named after a piece of the system that nobody was meeting in. On Windows, a recording now carries the name of the app the call is in, instead of being filed as "Untitled". (#885, #896)
Stopping a recording on a Mac or a Windows PC while it is paused now gives the meeting the right time; it used to be dated late by the whole length of the pause. Changing the microphone and pressing "Stop" at the same instant no longer throws the last moment of the recording away — it is kept. (#864, #845)
On an Android phone, a sign-in page that fails to open now says so instead of leaving you with nothing at all, and the next tap signs you in once the connection is back. (#891)
A colleague whose company pays for Chui no longer finds his older meetings locked behind his own free plan. An owner whose Pro has lapsed is now told that approving a waiting colleague is part of Chui Pro, rather than agreeing to a new monthly charge and only then being refused. (#870, #866)
0.1.1.152Mac & Windows 0.2.152
Clearer settings rows, honest microphone warnings, and a "New recording" button
The button that starts a recording now reads "New recording" everywhere — on the side rail, on the phone's bottom bar and on the watch — and the empty meetings list says "Tap “New recording” to start". (#969)
Every row in Settings now says what it is set to without your having to open it — your plan, which calendar is connected, how many devices and public links you have, how many colleagues are on your team, and whether you are helping improve Chui. Change something inside a row and the row updates, rather than showing you the old answer. (#967)
When a microphone is muted in hardware or unplugged, Chui now says "Chui cannot hear the microphone" and names the device about twenty seconds in, and picking a working one from the microphone button beside the recording bar clears it. The warning about your voice being too quiet is gone for good; it used to appear on perfectly good recordings while a genuinely dead microphone said nothing. (#970)
Changing the microphone or plugging in headphones mid-meeting no longer loses about five seconds of the recording, and no longer produces a warning blaming the machine straight afterwards. The seconds around the switch are kept and the recording carries on. (#959)
On an Android phone, tapping the "Meeting ready" notification opens that meeting. Those notifications never arrived at all before. (#840)
Signing out now asks with a small confirmation above the row rather than turning its own label red. (#920)
0.1.1.151Mac & Windows 0.2.151
Pro on the phone, a visible live recording, and Windows audio recovery
Buying Chui Pro on the iPhone now switches Pro on within a few seconds of Apple confirming the payment, and "Restore purchases" brings it back on a second phone. Purchases made on the phone were not reaching Chui at all, and the phone would keep retrying without ever finishing. (#925)
While a recording is running, "Meetings" now lifts it out of its day into its own block at the top, with a red edge and the words "Active recording" and "Live" over it, and it appears only once in the list. It used to be a single line of text among the rest. (#966)
On Windows, when one side of the call went silent part-way through, the rest of that side was lost for the whole meeting. Chui now notices the silence and picks the sound back up. (#846)
A locked meeting, or one over the month's limit, now shows a "Chui Pro" box with a price and a button you can press, straight after launching the app. Somebody in a company sees a sentence naming the owner who can lift it, instead of a box with nothing to press. (#932)
The device menu beside the recording bar, and "Settings", now say "Changing one while recording costs a moment of the meeting." under the device rows while a recording is running, and drop the line once you stop.
"Chui can barely hear you" no longer appears on a good microphone in a quiet room or on a headset, where it had been firing on recordings that were perfectly fine.
0.1.1.150Mac & Windows 0.2.150
Empty transcripts fixed, and clearer answers about payment
A Bulgarian meeting that came back with nothing in it now gets a second attempt at transcription before Chui gives up — around one meeting in twenty was finishing with an empty transcript, some of them three quarters of an hour long. Short meetings also finish in seconds instead of sitting on "Transcribing". (#951)
When you have used the ten free meetings for the month, the top of the meetings list now shows a full "Chui Pro" card you can press, instead of a small grey line — including when the list is empty because you deleted everything.
In "Settings" then "Subscription", a phone whose Apple ID already bought Chui Pro on a different Chui account now shows no price at all, just the sentence saying the subscription belongs to another account and a button to sign in with it. You could previously be charged a second time for somebody else's subscription. Prices also now appear within a few seconds on a poor connection rather than the card waiting indefinitely. (#921)
0.1.1.149Mac & Windows 0.2.149
Clearer subscription, audio and transcript details across devices
In "Settings" then "Subscription", a payment that has gone through but has not switched Pro on yet now says so clearly, with "Look again" as a proper, tappable button rather than a grey line of text. The price, the renewal date and where to cancel are stated on the same screen. (#792)
If your company already uses Chui, the free plan no longer offers to sell you a team of your own — it points you at asking for a seat instead. You could previously pay for a team you would then be refused. (#797)
A speaker whose name contains a colon, such as "Dr Ivan: sales", now stays whole when you use "Copy" on the transcript. The name used to come apart into a speaker and a stray word. (#820)
On Windows, having a browser tab open no longer pins "Chui cannot hear the meeting audio" on a recording that is fine, and on a Mac an in-person meeting with a call window open is no longer accused of a broken sound permission. When Windows genuinely cannot hear the meeting audio, the message no longer sends you to a Mac settings screen. (#811, #812, #813)
On the watch, the line explaining that a recording never reached your phone is now larger than the file size beside it and wraps onto a second line instead of being cut off. (#817)
0.1.1.148Mac & Windows 0.2.148
Subscriptions on mobile, plus recording and list refinements
On the phone, "Settings" then "Subscription" now shows the App Store prices and "Restore purchases", and once a payment goes through the screen says the payment was taken instead of showing the prices again. There was no way to pay from the phone at all before. (#647, #731)
On Android, pressing "Stop" while a recording is paused now gives a meeting whose length, and whose "Recording was cut short" warning, match what was actually recorded. The time spent paused used to be counted in. (#807)
Taps in the meetings list now land while a recording is still uploading or transcribing. Buttons such as "Not now" could be swallowed by the list redrawing underneath your finger. (#798)
In "Report a problem", an empty box now says that "Send" is waiting for a sentence, so attaching a picture and finding "Send" greyed out no longer leaves you guessing. (#787)
0.1.1.147Mac & Windows 0.2.147
Shared meetings play their recording, and meetings can be reported
On a meeting a colleague shared with the team you can now choose "Report this meeting", or "Block" the person who shared it. Blocking hides the meetings they share and hides yours from them, and "Unblock" in "Privacy" brings everything back as it was. A public summary page now has a small link at the bottom for reporting it, and sending a report shows a confirmation page. (#737)
On a wide window, "Get Pro" from a locked meeting, the meetings list or "Team" now opens "Settings" straight at "Subscription", highlighted in the left column. It used to open at the top of "Settings" instead. (#746)
Pressing Command-F while "Settings" is open over your meetings now closes it and puts you in a search field you can see. The cursor used to land in a search box hidden behind the dialogue. Tapping the magnifier while "Settings" is open does the same, and a question asking whether to delete something is left open if you press Command-F. (#749)
Pressing Escape twice now closes a question and then "Settings" behind it. The second press used to be lost. (#747)
On the Mac, recording an in-person meeting with no call running no longer makes "Chui cannot hear the meeting audio" switch on and off by itself. The level meter also no longer disappears. (#742)
On a meeting over the free limit after a new month has started, only the free retry button is now filled in amber. "Get Pro" beneath it is drawn as a plain outline, so it no longer looks like the main choice. (#724)
0.1.1.146Mac & Windows 0.2.146
Paying says so, locked meetings are counted, and the Mac holds its sound
On a phone, tapping a line in the transcript now jumps the audio to that exact moment, the same place it lands in a browser. On long meetings it used to play from the wrong point. (#707)
After paying at chui.io, "Subscription" now says the payment was taken and that Pro is switching on, then shows the live subscription instead of a price. You used to land back on the meetings list with nothing saying Pro had arrived. (#703)
On the Mac, the microphone button now sits at the left of the recording bar and opens a full list of devices, so you can change microphone mid-meeting with the level meter following the device actually in use. Brief sound dropouts now cost about half a second rather than three and a half, and the menu bar icon is the Chui mark instead of a blank square. (#714, #717, #715)
0.1.1.145Mac & Windows 0.2.145
The Mac says when it cannot hear, and Team lives in one place
While a meeting still says "Uploading", the red "Delete meeting" is now hidden and comes back on its own once the audio has arrived. Deleting at that moment used to be possible, and the recording could be lost before it ever reached us. (#602)
On the Mac, if the meeting is playing somewhere Chui cannot hear — a call app opened after recording started, or headphones chosen mid-meeting — the record screen now says so after about half a minute of silence, and says what to press. It used to stay quiet once it had heard any sound at all, so half a meeting could go missing without a word. (#642)
Settings now keeps everything about your team in "Team": the name, "New meetings", your colleagues, the invitations waiting to be claimed, "Invite a colleague" and leaving the team. It was split across two places before. (#603)
In Settings → "Public links", tapping a row now opens that meeting so you can read what a stranger sees; "Stop the link" stays on the right of the row. The row used to have nothing pressable on it but that red button. (#605)
The sharing sheet now has a "What they see" heading above "The summary only" and "The summary and the transcript", so the two are clearly a choice rather than two more ticked steps. The top of the meetings list now reads "Meetings" instead of the Chui wordmark, which stays in the side rail on a wide window. (#581, #596)
0.1.1.144Mac & Windows 0.2.144
Chui arrives as a new iPhone app, and silent stops now tell you
On iPhone, Chui now comes as a separate app rather than an update, and the old app no longer receives notifications. Keep the old one until the new one has signed you in and shows your meetings, and until no meeting in the old one still says "Uploading" or "Waiting for a connection".
Some phones had quietly stopped getting the notification that a meeting's transcript and summary are ready. They get it again now. (#620)
If a recording on your phone stops on its own, with no call and no pause, "Open Chui to keep recording" now appears within a few seconds. It used to appear only after a call or a "Pause", so a recording could stop with no warning and the rest of the meeting went unrecorded. (#643)
A meeting that Chui recovered after the app was stopped, and that has a gap in the middle, now shows "Recording was cut short" instead of looking complete.
Importing an empty file now says "The file is empty.", and importing a video says "Chui cannot read this file. Choose an audio recording." Each now shows only that message in your own language, without English error text added after it. (#656)
0.1.1.143Mac 0.1.143
Cancelling straight away, voice names on long meetings, and a readable QR code
Meetings longer than about four hours now come back with names on the voices, not just a transcript and a summary. (#573)
When there is no connection, your meetings list and a single meeting now say "Could not load your meetings. Chui keeps trying." in your own language, instead of an English message from the browser. (#574)
A connected assistant can now delete a meeting for you, and merge two entries that are the same person. It reads the details back and waits for your yes before doing either. (#399, #403)
"QR code" now fills the screen with the code, the meeting's name above it and a proper "Close" button underneath — the code used to sit small in one corner with bare text under it. (#550, #551)
On the free plan, the line telling you how many meetings are left this month now stands out above the list rather than fading in with the small grey captions. (#557)
0.1.1.142Mac 0.1.142
Resume picks up at once, and a busy microphone no longer costs a meeting
Pressing "Resume" after a pause now carries on recording immediately. If you had left Chui in the background while paused, the first few seconds after resuming used to go unrecorded; they are now kept.
Starting a meeting while another app is holding the microphone now shows "Could not start recording" with a "Retry" button that stays on screen and starts the meeting once the other app lets go. A momentary clash used to mean losing the meeting altogether.
In Meetings with no calendar connected, only "Connect a calendar" now sits above the list; the "Get Chui for Mac" card waits its turn, so your first meeting is much nearer the top of the screen.
A meeting older than thirty days now says what Chui Pro opens instead of quoting a price, and the pencil beside a meeting's title sits in its own small box so it reads as something you can press to rename it.
On a phone, the copy and download icons now sit a clear gap away from the "Notes" tab — tapping just beside the tabs used to copy the whole summary by accident.
0.1.1.141Mac 0.1.141
Finished recordings catch up on their own, and the paused bar reads right
A finished recording could sit on the phone for hours without being sent, even though it was meant to go up on its own; it now resumes as soon as you open Chui, and no audio was lost while it waited. (#535)
While a recording is held, the bar shows the word "Paused" in full rather than cut off on most iPhones, drops the back arrow and hides the clock while nothing is being counted, and "Resume" and "Stop" are now the same size as each other. (#528, #529)
In Meetings, the day headings run newest first with no day repeated, so each heading matches the meetings under it. Two recordings still going up are also told apart: the one being sent says "Uploading" and the one still waiting says "Waiting for a connection". (#521, #520)
A meeting marked "Over the limit" now names the month it was counted against, so one stopped in August still says August when you open it in September — the heading used to switch to the new month. (#517)
"Report a problem" on a short screen or a phone held sideways now shows the question and the text box together, with a scroll bringing "Send" and "Cancel" into reach. (#530)
0.1.1.139Mac 0.1.139
Fixes and improvements
On the phone, sharing now sits at the top of a meeting beside its title, with a clear gap between the two, and it opens the phone's own share sheet. "Settings" also has a new "Public links" section listing every meeting you have published, when it was published and how many times it has been opened; stopping a link asks you first and explains that the address stops working for everybody holding it. (#472, #475)
A meeting marked "Over the limit" now carries a quiet button reading "Try again on" the day your free meetings come back, instead of an inviting amber button that could not work yet; once the new month has started it is pressable and does the work. (#486)
On a locked meeting, the "Chui Pro" block is now the only strong control — "Delete meeting" used to be the loudest thing on a screen whose message is that nothing was deleted. (#476)
While a recording runs, the meeting appears as a live row in your meetings list, the section above it reads "Recording" rather than "Coming up", and the red pill over the tabs counts up. The list used to show no sign of the recording in progress. (#409, #465, #477)
"Recording was cut short" and "Recording is lost" are now set at the same size as the rest of the row, rather than shrunk smaller than every other word on the screen. (#461)
0.1.1.138
Connecting an assistant happens inside Chui, and a call no longer hides the second it costs
"Connect" on the assistant card in Meetings now opens a walkthrough inside Chui — the steps screen by screen, the Chui address with a button to copy it, and a switch between the two assistants — instead of sending you out to a web page. Once you finish in the other window, the line "Chui is connected." appears here on its own. (#395)
A connected assistant can now change things, not just read them: rename a meeting, correct its summary or notes, say who was speaking, change what is in "Settings", run a team, and make or stop a link to a summary. Before anything that cannot be undone it asks you by name and waits for your answer. (#397, #400, #405, #407)
If Chui gets something wrong while you are talking to an assistant, you can report it from that conversation; it used to mean leaving and finding "Report a problem" yourself. (#408)
When a phone call interrupts a recording, the meeting now reports the second or so lost while the microphone came back. It used to say the whole meeting had been captured. (#456)
A recording left unfinished on the phone now goes up by itself when Chui is open and becomes an ordinary meeting; you no longer have to notice the card and press "Recover". No audio was lost either way.
0.1.1.137Mac 0.1.137
The empty meetings screen leads with recording, and a meeting cut short still becomes a meeting
With nothing recorded yet, "Tap “Record” to start." now leads the phone's meetings screen in full-size type, with "Coming up" and the calendar prompt below it; record one meeting and they move back above the list. The calendar prompt also sits in a box of its own, so the "Coming up" caption only ever stands over actual meetings. (#360, #370)
A meeting that failed now says which kind of failure it was in words: one whose audio survived still reads "Failed", while one whose audio is gone reads "Recording is lost". The two used to be spelled the same and differ only in colour. (#356)
If the app was stopped in the middle of a long meeting, everything already saved arrived in a form nothing could open, and the meeting failed rather than becoming a meeting at all. The server now rebuilds it, so it goes through as an ordinary meeting — transcript, summary and playback — carrying a note that Chui rebuilt the recording and that the end of the meeting is missing. While a meeting runs, the phone also keeps the upload within about a minute and a half of where you are, across changes between Wi-Fi and mobile data. (#335, #365)
On a meeting with a voice still unnamed, that speaker's chip comes first in the row and is the only bright one, with the people you have already named dimmed behind it; naming it settles the row back to normal. (#429)
The small times inside the transcript are now drawn like the ones in the summary — underlined and in full ink — and still jump the audio to that moment. A meeting's title now shows a full-ink pencil and a thin outline of the field it becomes, and the letters no longer shift when you press it. (#357, #372)
A two-minute meeting reads as two minutes rather than "1:60", including when an assistant reads the length aloud. The pages on chui.io now open in your own language instead of always in Bulgarian. (#368, #361)
0.1.1.136Mac 0.1.136
Settings gets its bearings, and notes typed late still reach the summary
On the phone, the strip of section names at the top of "Settings" now marks the section you are actually in as you scroll, and tapping the last two, "Privacy" and "About", scrolls you to them and keeps them marked. Neither used to happen. (#346)
The value beside "New meetings" in "Settings" no longer breaks in half mid-word — it moves onto its own line and wraps at a space. (#351)
While "Discard this recording?" is on screen, the "Stop" button behind it goes grey and cannot be pressed, and returns to its normal colour once the question is dismissed. It used to stay lit and live beside the question. (#347)
"Delete my account" now sits on a card of its own, a clear gap below the card holding "Sign out" — the two were adjacent rows a hairline apart, easy to hit by mistake. (#343)
In your devices, "Sign out on other devices" is drawn as a proper button at the foot of the card, with its label fitting inside it. It was plain text that did not look pressable. (#342)
Notes you type during a meeting are folded into the summary even when you keep typing after the recording has stopped. If a summary was written before your last words landed, "Write the summary again" at the foot of the summary picks them up.
0.1.1.135Mac 0.1.135
A calmer meeting card on the Mac, and merging says it can be undone
On the Mac, the card that appears when a call starts is now a single row: the meeting and the app it is in, a "Record" button with a "More" chevron beside it, "Hide" in the corner, and a thin bar along the bottom that counts down about ten seconds and holds while your pointer rests on the card. A screenshot taken while the card is on screen now captures it, instead of coming out blank.
If you let that card go without touching it, the offer is still waiting for you inside the Chui window. "Turn off offers for Chrome" under the chevron takes effect at once and an undo row for it appears under "This Mac", even if that screen was already open.
Dragging a long meetings list on the phone no longer darkens each row your finger passes over — a deliberate tap still highlights the row and opens it. (#336)
The sheet you get from "Merge" on a person now ends by telling you the merge comes back with "Split" within thirty days, so you know it is not final. In "Settings", the list of names is now sized by its longest entry, so none of them is cut off mid-word. (#339, #341)
Pressing "Send yourself the link" on the "Get Chui for Mac" card now puts the card away for good once the share has actually gone through, and its "Hide" corner does the same. "Chui for desktop" is always in "Settings", under "App", so the link is never lost. (#337)
Opening a link to the sample meetings on a new account now shows a quiet "Loading the sample meetings…" while they arrive. It used to say "No meetings yet" for several seconds first, as though the account were empty. (#363)
0.1.1.134Mac 0.1.134
The calendar is offered right after sign-in, and the transcript sits beside the summary
Signing in with Google or Microsoft now leads straight to "Connect your calendar", with the address you just used already on the highlighted button, "Connect another account" under it, and "Later" to go straight to "Meetings". Before, the calendar was never asked about at sign-up. (#330)
That screen can no longer strand you: a slow answer used to be able to leave a blank page with nothing to press, and it now waits visibly and then takes you to "Meetings" on its own. If your workplace blocks calendar access, the screen that follows says "Your administrator has to approve Chui" and "Send the link by email" is fully readable on a narrow phone instead of being cut off mid-word. (#330)
While recording, "Notes during the meeting…" is now a proper box with an edge and a caret that turns amber when you tap into it — it was grey text under a grey hint, with nothing to show it could be typed in. (#359)
In a wide browser or Mac window, "Transcript" now stands beside "Summary" rather than replacing it. Tapping a timestamp moves the transcript and the audio without wiping the summary, and resizing the window keeps your place in the recording. (#345)
A recording could stop being sent up and simply sit on the phone, with nothing said and no transcript or summary ever arriving — every later attempt saw "one of these is already in progress" and did nothing. A send that stops answering is now noticed and the next attempt goes ahead. (#333)
On the Mac, rows and titles in the meetings list and in the section above it sit a little tighter, now that there is a pointer rather than a thumb. Nothing changes size on the phone. (#316)
0.1.1.133Mac 0.1.133
The lock screen stops showing a frozen timer, and uploads show real progress
The card on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island no longer counts the minutes while your phone is in your pocket — it used to freeze early and sit there reading a few minutes while the meeting was three quarters of an hour in. It now says the recording is running without a clock that lies, and the meeting itself is still recorded end to end. (#328)
"Uploading" now shows how far the recording has actually got, rather than moving at the same rate whether anything was being sent or not. And drawing that progress can never itself be the reason an upload fails — a browser that refuses to redraw the row used to look to Chui like a part that had not been sent. (#324)
In "Report a problem", "Send" is now the prominent button and "Cancel" beneath it is the quiet one — they were drawn the other way round — and "Attach a picture" and "Remove" sit where you would expect them. (#344)
On the Mac, an update now finishes with "Relaunch", which closes and reopens Chui for you. It used to tell you to quit and reopen it by hand. (#326)
A new account can be filled with five sample meetings, transcripts and summaries included, by opening chui.io/samples while signed in — useful for seeing what a finished meeting looks like before you record your own. (#320)
0.1.1.132Mac 0.1.132
Meetings left on the phone finish, and a missed alarm arrives with a sound
A meeting you finished could stay on the phone, fully recorded but never uploaded, with nothing on screen saying so — hours of recordings could sit there unnoticed. The phone and the server now compare what each of them holds, so a meeting left behind is spotted and finishes uploading. (#307, #331)
With "Meeting reminders" set to "Alarm", a reminder whose moment passed while the phone was asleep now arrives with a sound, once. It used to come through silently, or twice. (#318)
If two connected calendars both carry the same meeting, "Coming up" now lists it once, offers one reminder for it, and marks it "Recorded" after you record it — it used to appear twice. (#313)
A meeting card in "Coming up" now prints the meeting's hours and shows "Record" straight away, instead of hiding it behind a press-and-hold. If your phone changes country, the hours are re-spelled to match. (#319)
In "People", merging two entries now keeps the other name as well, so a later meeting where that name is spoken still finds the right person. Before, that name was thrown away. (#329)
On the Mac, each screen has its own title bar with its own actions, "Search" sits beside the traffic lights and closes "Settings" when pressed, "Record" is drawn in the near-white rather than the colour that means "you are here", and rows in "Meetings" use the full width of a wide window. (#312, #314, #315)
0.1.1.131Mac 0.1.131
A meeting stuck on the phone now finishes, and a summary can be shared as a link
A finished meeting has "Make a link": it gives an address on chui.io that anybody you send it to can open to read the summary, while the recording and the transcript stay with you. The screen says how many times it has been opened, and "Stop the link" makes the old address dead. (#297)
The top of the meetings list can now show an invitation — "Get Chui for Mac", or "Your meetings — in Claude and ChatGPT" — one at a time and never more, with "Later" to put it away. (#296)
"Settings" opens as a short front page with one door per area rather than one long scroll, and each door lands you on the part you asked for. (#294)
In "People", short names and nicknames for the same person are now recognised as one contact instead of sitting as separate entries. If it gets one wrong, "Split" separates them again and they stay separate after you leave the screen and come back. (#309, #292)
The app's name is written as "Chui", with a capital, everywhere you read it — the meetings screen, "About", the lock-screen notice — and a summary downloaded from a meeting with no title is now named after the app rather than in lower case. The reminder before a meeting starts also comes through when your phone is set to a Focus, which it was meant to do and did not. (#310, #270)
0.1.1.130Mac 0.1.130
Discard moves off the notes area, and one shape for every status
While a recording runs, "Discard" now stands on its own line just above the bar at the bottom, with the recording's controls rather than on the page you type on. It used to sit in the middle of the notes area — the one surface on that screen you actually use — where a thumb going there to start writing could land on the control that throws the meeting away. (#274)
With no meetings yet, the prompt reads "Tap “Record” to start." and names the button by the word printed on it, instead of pointing at a dot that is nowhere on screen; and when a recording stalls on the phone, the message tells you to tap "Resume", which is the word on that button. (#287)
In "Meetings", every state — "Transcribing", "Imported", "Failed", "Recording was cut short" — is now drawn as the same small pill rather than three different shapes, and a meeting that failed but whose audio is safe reads differently from one whose audio is gone. (#286)
On the "Summary" tab, the chip for a speaker who has not been named looks pressable rather than switched off, and tapping it opens "Who is speaking?" as it always did. (#288)
On a meeting screen, aiming at "Notes" changes tab instead of catching "Copy" or "Download" beside it, and the rows in "Who is speaking?" are easier to hit. (#289)
Nothing on screen: while a meeting is being recorded Chui sends it up in pieces, and its own record of how that went is now kept per meeting. A send that failed after you pressed stop used to be counted against whatever you recorded next, so one meeting could be written down as having no failures while another carried a failure that was not its own. (#285)
0.1.1.129Mac 0.1.129
A failed sign-in on the Mac says so instead of going quiet
On the Mac, signing in with Apple or Google while the computer cannot reach the internet now tells you it did not work. Before, the screen quietly went back to the start as though you had pressed "Cancel", leaving nothing to explain it. (#284)
When an upload cannot reach the server, the "Report a problem" you send now names what kind of failure it was — the connection never opened, it ran out of time, or the server stopped answering — along with the reason the phone was given, instead of only saying that something went wrong. Nothing looks different while you use Chui; it means a problem you report can be worked out afterwards. (#284)
0.1.1.128Mac 0.1.128
Clearer wording on Record, and a safer way to remove a calendar
The line under the timer on the Record screen now reads "You can leave this screen — the recording keeps going. If you close the app, it stops." It used to lead with the warning, which read as though moving to another screen would end the recording. (#275)
In "Meetings", a meeting still being written up shows "Transcribing" in a small outlined pill instead of dim text that looked like the length of the meeting, and while a recording is ending, "Stopping…" and the dot beside it go quiet together rather than one staying bright. (#276)
On the "Summary" tab, the timestamps in the body are no longer picked out in amber, so "Write the summary again" is the one thing the colour points you to. (#277)
When a recording was cut short or something failed, the sentence explaining what you can do next is in normal page ink rather than the faintest text on the screen, including in boxes that offer "Retry". (#281)
In "Settings", a calendar that needs attention now shows "Reconnect" as the filled amber button and "Remove" in red; "Remove" asks first, naming the account and saying its upcoming meetings disappear while your recordings stay. Dismissing that question removes nothing, and if the removal does not go through you are told why. (#282)
"Send" on "Report a problem" stays grey and unpressable until "What happened?" holds an actual sentence, instead of looking ready to send an empty report; and opening a person from "People" shows their details before "Rename" and "Merge", with a rename in progress no longer wiping the name you are typing. (#283, #280)
0.1.1.127Mac 0.1.127
Alarms ring without opening Chui, and a recording survives a force-quit
If Chui was closed or force-quit while a meeting was being recorded, opening it again brings you back to Record, still recording the same meeting, with the running time carried on from the file. Before, it could forget the recording was under way and offer only "Discard", which would have deleted an hour of audio for good. (#272)
While a recording is under way, the card at the top of the app reads "Chui is recording" for that meeting wherever you are, and "Stop" ends it with the whole recording kept. (#272)
With "Meeting reminders" set to "Alarm", the alarm now rings for your next calendar meeting even if you have not opened Chui all day, with "Stop" and "Record" on it. It used to ring only if Chui happened to have been open in time. If your phone refuses alarms you read "iOS did not allow alarms. We will send a notification." (#269)
Changing "When" or "Which" takes effect for the next reminder on its own, without you opening the app again. (#269)
A calendar account that includes a holiday calendar keeps feeding "Coming up" promptly as meetings are created, and no longer asks you to "Reconnect" when nothing was wrong with the connection. (#271)
0.1.1.126Mac 0.1.126
Meetings grouped by day, and a steadier Record screen
The meetings list is now cut into groups under day headings such as "today" and "yesterday", with each row showing only the clock time; a meeting you never named reads "Untitled" in the name slot instead of a bare date. (#264, #255)
On the Summary tab, a timestamp inside a bullet is larger and easier to hit, and each one now starts playback from its own moment — two bullets stacked together could previously both play the lower one. The speaker chips are comfortably tappable, and "Who is speaking?" opens a full-width field at a readable size rather than a cramped box. (#256, #258, #268)
On the Record screen, "Discard" now sits inside an outlined box, well clear of "Stop", instead of floating as a small red word just above it; the recording itself is shown in red and only the way to end it in amber; and the line about keeping the app open reads "Don't close the app — the recording stops." (#254, #260, #263)
In "People", "Rename" and "Merge" are full-sized boxed controls rather than thin underlined words, and on "Report a problem" only "Send" is highlighted, so it is clear what finishes the report. The build stamp on the sign-in screen is legible now. (#259, #261, #262)
Accepting the offer to record a meeting in a browser now records it. Before, it could capture nothing at all, leaving you with an empty meeting. A second call running behind another video is noticed too, and the offer appears when a meeting is about to start rather than waiting for someone to speak. (#265, #266, #253)
The setup for "Connect an assistant" is now two illustrated pages on chui.io, one for each assistant, with a switcher at the top and a picture for every step, in place of a long page of prose. Changes in your calendar also reach "Coming up" as they happen instead of after a wait. (#267, #251)
0.1.1.125Mac 0.1.125
Settings rebuilt, with light mode and one Settings screen on the Mac
"Settings" has been redrawn: each option now sits on a control that suits the question instead of a long run of identical rows, and "Sign out" and "Delete my account" sit on a card at the bottom rather than reading as plain links. Under "Devices", every device except the one you are holding has its own "Sign out" beside it, and the confirmation names that device. (#242)
"Appearance" is new, with "System", "Light" and "Dark" — Chui follows your device unless you choose one yourself. (#221)
"Ask about your meetings" now sits in Settings with "Connect Claude" in its footer, and the steps behind it have been rewritten so they work start to finish for either of the two assistants Chui supports. The invitation disappears once an assistant is connected, and comes back if you sign that assistant out from another device. (#217)
On the Mac there is now one Settings screen rather than two separate panels — ⌘, opens the same one, with a "This Mac" section for the microphone, output device, the offer to record and opening at login. On a wide window it floats over your meetings in two columns with the record dock still running underneath, and Escape, the dimmed background or × closes it; while you are renaming a meeting, Escape only cancels the rename. (#242)
Copy and download have moved onto the line the tabs sit on, at the right-hand end, instead of taking a full-width strip of their own between the tabs and the player. They act on whatever the tab is showing — the summary on one, the transcript on the other — and are reachable without scrolling to the end of a long transcript. (#252)
0.1.1.122Mac 0.1.122
Meeting reminders can now be an alarm, and recorded meetings say so
"Profile" now has a meeting reminders section under "Calendar" with three choices: "How" ("None", "Notification" or "Alarm"), "When" ("At the start", "1 min before" or "5 min before") and "Which" ("Only with other people" or "All meetings"). The choices are kept on your account, so they hold when you reopen the screen and match across your phone and the browser. (#170)
If your phone refuses alarms, the row says "iOS did not allow alarms. We will send a notification." and you get a notification instead. Switching "How" to "None" before the meeting, or removing the meeting from your calendar, stops the alarm before it rings. (#170)
A recording now remembers which calendar meeting it belongs to, so an entry in "Coming up" shows "Recorded" in place of its time — while the meeting is still running as well — and tapping it opens the recording instead of offering to record it again. (#174)
0.1.1.121Mac 0.1.121
Fixes and improvements
If you decline the permission screen you now see "Access was declined. Try again if you did not mean to." once, and the connect button works normally afterwards instead of the app trying again on its own. (#216)
0.1.1.120Mac 0.1.120
Fixes and improvements
"Profile" now has "Delete my account", which explains plainly what goes, declines while a recording is running, and leaves nothing of yours behind if you sign in again afterwards. (#228)
Audio that had uploaded correctly could be removed by an overnight clean-up, leaving a meeting with nothing to play. That no longer happens. (#218)
You now get one notification when a meeting is ready, and no "something went wrong" notices for meetings that finished normally — a single meeting could previously send several. (#237)
0.1.1.119Mac 0.1.119
Easier to hit on a phone: names, tabs, Back and more
Tapping a speaker's name above a line of the transcript now opens "Who is speaking?" first time. The name sits in a comfortably sized target instead of a thin strip of text you had to aim at. (#210)
The extra space in a transcript now sits above each speaker's name rather than between the name and the words below it, so each turn reads as one block. (#210)
The row of "Summary", "Transcript" and "Notes" is comfortable to tap on a narrow screen, the thin line under it is still drawn, and the mark for the tab you are on sits over that line rather than beside it. (#210)
"Back", "Retry" in the error box, "Sign out" in "Profile", and the whole "Connect a calendar" row under "Coming up" are now full-size targets — the calendar row used to respond only where the words were. Tapping a meeting's title to rename it has a larger area around it, while the title itself is drawn exactly where it was. (#210)
0.1.1.118Mac 0.1.118
Recording controls in the top strip, and delete on meeting rows
While a recording is running, the strip along the top of the app now carries both "Pause" and "Stop", and both work from any screen. "Discard" stays on the recording screen only, behind its question, so a recording cannot be thrown away by accident from the strip. (#208)
On a Mac or in a browser, hovering a meeting row fades a "Delete" button in at the end of the row without the row sliding sideways, and the Tab key reaches it. On a touchscreen the row still swipes left, and the swipe no longer swallows the tap that opens the meeting. (#209)
0.1.1.117Mac 0.1.117
A recording says so in the list, and chui.io has a front page
Start a recording and the meeting appears in "Meetings" as "Recording" with its own running clock. It used to sit there as "Queued" beside a spinner until the recording stopped. (#207)
Tapping that live row takes you straight back into the recording screen, with the notes you typed still in the box — before, it opened a waiting screen with nothing on it but a delete button. (#207)
Opening chui.io while signed out now shows a page that explains what Chui is and links to the privacy policy, with the app icon in the header in place of a single stray letter. (#192)
The headline and opening line of that page read as natural Bulgarian for anyone whose device is set to it. (#192)
0.1.1.116Mac 0.1.116
Share a summary out of Chui, and summaries that follow new names
"Summary" and "Transcript" now have a "Share" button above them. On a phone it opens the share sheet, so the text can go to another app with the meeting's name on the first line, the timestamps intact and speakers under the names you gave them; dismissing the sheet without choosing anything copies nothing. (#214)
On a Mac or in a desktop browser the same button copies the text straight away and briefly reads "Copied". (#214)
Searching inside a meeting only steps through words that were actually said or written. "Share" and the other controls on the screen are no longer counted as matches when you move with "Previous match" and "Next match". (#214)
Rename a speaker in a meeting that already has a summary and the summary rewrites itself within about a minute, with the real name in place of "Speaker 2" — you no longer have to press "Write the summary again". (#205)
Renaming several voices one after another, or merging and splitting people, now produces one rewritten summary rather than several, and a finished meeting no longer slips back to "Transcribing" or reports a failure while it happens. (#205)
0.1.1.115Mac 0.1.115
You can report a problem from inside Chui, and attach a picture to it
A report can carry a picture. Tap "Attach a picture" and pick a screenshot or photo from your library. Chui never photographs your screen on its own — the only image that leaves your phone is one you chose. Swap it for another or press "Remove", and the preview always shows exactly what will be sent. (#189)
The line under the box says the same in plain words: nothing from your meetings leaves the phone unless you attach a picture yourself. Choosing a file that is not an image tells you so rather than sending, and a large picture finishes attaching before the report goes out. (#189)
0.1.1.114Mac 0.1.114
"Rename" and "Merge" on a person are proper buttons now
On a person's page in the browser, "Rename" and "Merge" are now full-width buttons that take the press you aimed at, instead of small pills you had to aim for. They work the same on a phone browser, with nothing else on the page shifted out of place.
Renaming a person still holds after you leave and reopen them, and the new name shows in every meeting they appear in. Merging still moves exactly the meetings the confirmation said it would, under "Who is the same person?".
0.1.1.113Mac 0.1.113
"Write the summary again" stands out and regenerates the summary
On a meeting, "Write the summary again" at the bottom of "Summary" now reads as something you can press — bright text on the same hairline outline — and pressing it runs and gives you a new summary. It used to look faint and grey beside "Delete meeting", and often did nothing when tapped.
0.1.1.112Mac 0.1.112
The speaker list and a person's buttons now fit a thumb
Choosing who is speaking on a meeting now takes the tap you aimed at: the names in the "Who is speaking?" list stand far enough apart for a thumb, where a press meant for one used to land on the name below it. About five names show at a time where seven did, and the list scrolls to reach the rest. (#201)
On a person under "People", "Rename" and "Merge" — and "Split", on someone you have merged — now answer a press anywhere on the word, including its top and bottom edge. Each was a box barely taller than the text inside it, and one of them folds two people into one. The words are drawn exactly as they were, same size and same colour; what grew is the area around them that answers your thumb. (#202)
0.1.1.111Mac 0.1.111
Speaker chips on a meeting take the tap you aimed at
The speaker chips in the strip above the tabs on a meeting now open "Who is speaking?" for the chip you pressed, rather than sometimes the one beside it, and a press on the very top or bottom edge of a chip now lands instead of doing nothing. (#200)
The chips look exactly as before — same height, same shape, same spacing between the title and the tabs — and they behave the same way on the Mac. (#200)
0.1.1.110Mac 0.1.110
Easier taps at the top of Meetings, and a Retry on People
The three round controls across the top of "Meetings" — "Search", "Import a file" and your account — are now easier to hit and each one takes the press you aimed at it, rather than sometimes opening its neighbour. The symbols inside them are the same size as before. (#199)
When "People" cannot load because there is no connection, it now says so and offers "Retry" as a button you can press; it used to be a sentence with nothing to do next. Pressing it once the connection is back brings your list of people in without leaving and re-entering the screen. (#198)
0.1.1.109Mac 0.1.109
Clearer summaries, and meeting rows that tell a wait from a problem
In "Summary", a bullet that wraps onto a second line now stays inside its bullet and stays indented; the last few words used to drop to the left margin as a paragraph of their own. (#197)
Also in "Summary", a bold lead-in such as a heading or a numbered step now starts its own block instead of being swallowed into the bullet above it. (#197)
The "Back" control on a meeting is now plain ink rather than amber, so the only amber left on the screen is the timestamp you tap to hear the audio from that point. (#196)
In "Meetings", a meeting that is still being processed now sits quietly in grey, and only a meeting with a real problem stands out in red. A wait and a failure used to look alike. (#195)
A meeting whose audio was cut off or never arrived is the one marked in red; a meeting that broke after the audio was safely stored is not. Opening it now shows a sentence saying which of the two happened. (#195)
0.1.1.108Mac 0.1.108
Report a problem from Profile, and better recovered recordings
"Profile" now has a "Report a problem" row in the "About" group, next to "Version" and "What's new". Before you type anything the sheet tells you what goes with your message — the version, the screen you were on and the app's recent actions — and states plainly that nothing from your meetings is sent. (#189)
If the message cannot be sent, for example with no connection, the sheet stays open with the reason and your text still in the box, instead of closing and losing what you wrote. (#189)
A meeting brought back with "Recover" is now dated from the moment you started talking, so it sits where you expect it in "Meetings". It used to be dated several minutes later and could land in the wrong part of the list. (#190)
A recovered meeting now shows how much of it was captured and how many interruptions there were, where it previously reported zeros for both. (#190)
0.1.1.107Mac 0.1.107
Leaving the record screen no longer throws the recording away
The control in the top-left of the record screen now reads "Back" and simply returns you to Meetings with the recording still running. Before, that same corner deleted the recording outright, with nothing to confirm first. (#187)
Stopping a recording from the Lock Screen while that question is open now either leaves the question up with a plain explanation or finishes and leaves you on Meetings, rather than dropping you inside a meeting that no longer exists. (#187)
On a person's page in People, "Rename" and "Merge" look like the app's own links again, instead of the plain grey system buttons they had turned into. (#202)
0.1.1.106Mac 0.1.106
The block above your meetings is now its own card
The area above the meetings list — "Coming up", anything arriving from the watch, and any unfinished recording — now sits in a card of its own, clearly separate from the list. Before, it ran on as part of the list, so a notice could be mistaken for the first meeting. (#188)
Tapping a row inside that card highlights it edge to edge, with a thin line between two rows, instead of a small box floating inside the card. (#188)
The spacing under "Coming up" now holds whether you have one meeting there, several, or none at all. (#188)
0.1.1.105Mac 0.1.105
A Google calendar on the Mac
The Mac and Windows apps can now connect a Google calendar, not only a Microsoft one: you approve access on Google's own screen and come back to "Calendar connected:", where the last step used to end in an error.
The Google option appears on the Mac as soon as Chui's server is set up to offer it; until then the Mac offers Microsoft, exactly as before.
Nothing else changed on the phone or in the browser in this build.
0.1.1.104Mac 0.1.104
Meetings you share with your team, and what stays yours
A finished meeting now has "Who can see this meeting", offering "Mine", "The team" and "Private", and the line under the choices names exactly who each one means. If you own the team you are offered two choices rather than three, because for you the other two would say the same thing.
The meetings list has "Mine" and "Team" above it. A colleague's shared meeting appears under "Team" with the speakers' names already on its row, and a search started from one tab only ever returns meetings from that tab.
A meeting a colleague shared with you opens fully readable but cannot be changed by you: the title stays fixed, and naming a speaker, "Write the summary again", "Retry" and "Delete" — including the swipe — are unavailable.
The first time your account belongs to a team, "You are in a team now" explains what the owner can and cannot see, worded differently for the owner and for a member, and it is shown once rather than at every launch.
In the browser, "Version" under "About" shows the actual build this time, instead of the placeholder word it had always shown.
0.1.1.103Mac 0.1.103
Groundwork for shared accounts — nothing on screen changes
Nothing in this build is visible. Recording, transcription, the meeting list and everything you do with a meeting behave exactly as they did before, on the phone, in the browser and on the Mac.
Underneath, Chui learned what a company is and who belongs to one, so that an account can later be shared by a team. Nothing reads it yet, and until it does, an account on its own works the way it always has.
0.1.1.102Mac 0.1.102
Speakers arrive named, from the invite and from voices Chui knows
Pick the invite under "Which meeting are you recording?" before you record, and the speakers in the finished meeting already carry the names of the people the invite lists, with nothing for you to type.
A voice you have named once is now recognised in your other meetings on the same account, including older ones, and named again on its own.
A name you type yourself under "Who is speaking?" is kept, and an automatic one never quietly replaces it — including when you tap "Write the summary again", where a corrected name could previously revert to the earlier guess.
People named automatically now appear in "People" with the right meeting count, and "Merge" and "Split" work on those entries just as they do on ones you named by hand.
0.1.1.101Mac 0.1.101
Connecting a calendar lands where it should, on every account
Tapping "Connect a calendar" at the top of your meetings list now opens Profile with the "Calendar" section on screen, rather than just above it and out of sight.
Removing access now names the account in the question, so two rows with the same provider can be told apart before you confirm.
When your workplace blocks the connection, coming back from the consent screen takes you straight to the "Your administrator has to approve Chui" message, whether you started from the meetings list or from Profile.
In the browser and on the Mac, scrolling or dragging the scrollbar while the calendar section is still filling in now leaves you where you moved to, instead of pulling you back.
0.1.1.100Mac 0.1.100
Nothing to see in this build
This build changes nothing you can see or do in Chui on the phone, the Watch, the browser or the Mac — the work was all behind the scenes, and the previous build's behaviour stands unchanged.
0.1.1.99Mac 0.1.99
The Mac offer now knows which meeting you are joining
When you join a call that is in your calendar, the menu bar offer and the notification carry the meeting's own name instead of just «call», and recording starts under that title. (#175)
Accepting an offer twice — a double-click, or once in the menu bar and once on the banner — now starts one recording rather than two. (#175)
Taking a named offer settles the matter for that meeting: the usual pre-meeting card no longer appears afterwards to ask you about the same thing a second time. (#175)
A call with nothing in your calendar for that window still gets the plain «Zoom looks like it is in a call» offer, with no name borrowed from an unrelated meeting. (#175)
An in-person meeting whose invite merely links to a conferencing company's help or pricing page is no longer treated as an online meeting, so a later call cannot take its name. (#175)
One gap we know about: if a card for a scheduled meeting is already on screen in that window, an unscheduled call in the same window gets no Mac offer at all. (#175)
0.1.1.98Mac 0.1.98
Today's meetings at the top of the list, one tap from recording
«Coming up» now sits above the meetings list on the phone, in the browser and on the Mac: today's meetings that have not ended yet, from every calendar you have connected, merged into one section with the time each one starts and who is invited. One tap begins recording that meeting under its own title, with the people invited already lined up as the voices to expect. (#171)
A day with nothing left in it looks exactly as it did before — the section is simply not there, rather than telling you it has nothing to tell you. If you have no calendar connected at all, that slot holds a single «Connect a calendar» row instead. (#171)
A calendar that does not answer never gets in the way: the section stays out rather than showing a spinner, and the list below it is never held up. An account that has stopped being readable on this device says «Reconnect» right there, and one working calendar no longer hides a broken one — your day is still drawn in full, with the repair row underneath the meetings rather than in place of them. (#171)
A meeting you declined is now gone everywhere: no card offering to record it, no place in «Coming up», no alarm. Answering «maybe» still counts as a yes. (#173)
A block with nobody in it but you — lunch, focus time — still appears in the list, in case you want to dictate something into it, but it no longer nudges you with a card to record it. (#173)
0.1.1.97Mac 0.1.97
Every calendar you have, and a list that fills the screen
On the phone the meetings list now reaches the bottom of the screen, with the row of places resting on the very edge instead of floating above a blank band — at rest, with the keyboard up, after turning the phone and back, and after leaving Chui and returning. You no longer have to rotate the device to nudge the list and the Record pill back into place. (#168)
Meetings from every calendar on the account now appear, not only the main one — a work, family or holiday calendar beside it used to be silently left out, and tomorrow's occurrence of a repeating stand-up was missed as well. (#148)
If a calendar cannot be read, Profile marks that account «Reconnect» instead of looking finished, and one broken account no longer empties out the rest of your day. (#148)
0.1.1.96Mac 0.1.96
When your headset is not picking you up, on the phone and the watch
On the phone, if nothing is reaching the microphone while you record, a line appears within about half a minute saying Chui cannot hear it and names the input you are actually on — "AirPods Pro", "iPhone Microphone" — instead of the recording running on in silence with no sign of trouble. (#166)
While that notice is on screen the level dots now sit still, rather than bouncing as though sound were arriving; they come back to life the moment real sound does, and the notice clears on its own. Switch to a working microphone mid-meeting and it goes away; go quiet again later and it returns. (#166)
The Apple Watch says the same thing on your wrist, with the name of the input underneath, so a headset that is connected but not picking you up is visible without reaching for the phone. (#166)
A recording left running with the phone locked and pocketed no longer comes back claiming a long silence it was never awake to hear, and an unreadable reading from the meter is no longer treated as silence. Only one such warning appears at a time. (#166)
0.1.1.95Mac 0.1.95
When the Mac cannot hear you, and quiet meetings in your language
Chui on the Mac now asks macOS for permission to use your microphone when you first open it, rather than never asking at all — so a meeting no longer records with your own side silent. (#164)
If the microphone is blocked or hears nothing, a line appears within about half a minute naming the device and where to unblock it, and it disappears on its own once sound returns while the recording carries on. (#164)
The warning about the meeting's own sound now only appears when there is genuinely nothing playing through the machine; recording with nothing else running no longer produces a false alarm, and a muted microphone is named on its own. (#164)
«Stop» from the tray on the Mac stops the recording straight away instead of pausing for a moment first. (#164)
When a recording is silent or too quiet to tell what was said, the title and summary now come back in the language Chui is set to, instead of always in Bulgarian. (#165)
0.1.1.94Mac 0.1.94
Choosing your microphone and speaker on the Mac
Settings on the Mac has a new «Sound» section where you can pick the exact microphone Chui records from and the exact output device the meeting is heard through, instead of always following the system default. (#161)
If a device you chose is unplugged, the row still names it and marks it «not available», and pressing Record starts the recording anyway — the record screen tells you which device Chui is using instead, so a stale preference can no longer cost you a meeting. (#161)
The device lists in Settings update on their own when you plug in a headset or connect AirPods, rather than staying stale until you close and reopen the panel. (#161)
Recording starts normally when your output is a stacked or combined device, where before it could refuse. (#161)
Moving through Chui with the keyboard on the Mac now always shows which control you are on, and rows in People and Meetings light up and show a pointer cursor when you hover them.
0.1.1.93Mac 0.1.93
Mac recording with AirPods, and offers that stay with one meeting
Pressing Record on the Mac while using AirPods, or any headset that is both your speaker and your microphone, now starts the recording and captures both your own voice and the other side. Until now the recording could refuse to start at all, so nothing was kept. (#162)
Pressing Record when no meeting is running records your microphone and the sound from the machine, and a call you join afterwards is still heard in the recording. (#162)
Accepting an offer to record a meeting Chui has spotted now applies to that one meeting only. A later, unrelated recording is no longer quietly narrowed to the app you picked before. (#162)
Clicking an offer that is still on screen while you are already recording leaves the running recording alone, and the next recording you start is not tied to that app either. (#162)
On the phone, putting Chui to sleep or switching away while the calendar is syncing mid-recording no longer leaves anything looking broken — the meeting and its notes are still there when you come back. (#163)
0.1.1.92Mac 0.1.92
Settings on the Mac, update checks that answer, and a quit that waits for your recording
Chui on the Mac now has a settings panel: press ⌘, from anywhere in the app and it opens inside the Chui window, bringing the window back first if you had closed it to the tray. (#158)
In settings you can switch off the offer to record when a call starts. With it off no banner and no notification appears, and any offer already on screen goes away by itself instead of sitting there waiting to be dismissed. (#158)
"Open Chui at login" now tells the truth: if macOS wants you to approve it, the switch stays off and takes you to the Login Items pane rather than claiming it is already on. (#158)
⌘Q and "Quit" no longer quit Chui while a meeting is recording — the recording is shown to you instead. (#158)
"Check for Updates……" from the menu bar or the tray always gives you a visible answer — either an offer or a line saying it is checking. It used to be able to show an empty strip, or nothing at all, especially just after launch or with the window closed. (#159)
Accepting an update while a meeting is recording now tells you the update will wait; the recording carries on untouched and the update finishes on its own once you press Stop. (#159)
Clicking a "new version" notification while Chui is closed now launches the app and acts on the click, rather than just bringing an empty window forward. (#159)
0.1.1.91Mac 0.1.91
Chui now notices 8x8 Work meetings on the Mac
Joining a meeting in 8x8 Work on the Mac now brings up the offer to record it. Until now that one app was never recognised, so no offer ever appeared for it. (#160)
A meeting that goes quiet for a while no longer causes a second offer to pop up for the same call — the first offer simply stays where it is. (#160)
Two meetings one after the other are offered once each, rather than one of them being offered twice. (#160)
If your Mac notification settings have Chui's alert style set to "None", you will not see the banner, but the offer still appears as a bar inside Chui. (#160)
0.1.1.90Mac 0.1.90
A phone call mid-recording no longer shortens the meeting
Taking a call while recording now picks the recording back up when you hang up, and the finished meeting's length and transcript cover the whole meeting. Until now the part after the call could be missing, so a long meeting came back far shorter than it really was. (#156)
Several calls in one meeting — one answered, one declined, one left to ring — are each handled on their own, and the recording still runs to the end. (#156)
A second call arriving seconds after the first ends no longer produces a stray prompt to open Chui when the recording had in fact carried on fine. (#156)
After a call that ran for a minute or two, Chui tells you promptly that it is recording again instead of leaving you with nothing on screen. (#156)
Interruptions that are not calls — Siri, an alarm — behave as they always have, resuming quietly. (#156)
0.1.1.89Mac 0.1.89
Offers to record survive a dropped connection and an account switch
If Chui cannot read your calendar — the connection dropped, or your provider was slow — it now tries again by itself about a minute later, and keeps trying. A meeting created or moved while it was blind still gets its offer to record, without you opening the app. Until now nothing retried, and Chui quietly stopped noticing meetings until somebody picked up the phone. (#157)
After that account switch, the new account's diary is read straight away rather than waiting out the previous account's cycle, so its next meeting is offered on time. (#157)
0.1.1.88Mac 0.1.88
The pre-meeting offer now actually arrives on the iPhone
The card offering to record an upcoming meeting now appears on the phone about five minutes before the start, even with Chui fully closed. Until now it had never once shown up there, however the calendar and notification settings were set. (#155)
Tapping the card takes you straight into recording that meeting; the other tap opens the meeting without starting anything.
If you start recording by hand before the card arrives, the offer for that meeting quietly drops instead of arriving later.
One meeting is still offered once only — never a card on the phone and another on the Mac, and back-to-back meetings each get their own single card.
0.1.1.87Mac 0.1.87
An offer to record arrives five minutes before your meeting
If a connected calendar has a meeting coming up, Chui now sends a card about five minutes before it starts, even when the app is closed. Tapping the card takes you straight into recording that meeting; the second kind of tap opens the meeting without starting anything.
The same meeting is only ever offered once — one card per call, not one on the phone and another on the Mac, and back-to-back meetings at 10:00 and 10:30 each get their own single card.
A recording made from a meeting with an invite behind it is now named after the invite instead of «Record 24.08 14:32», and the guests from that invite are offered to you as names when you correct who spoke.
A name you type yourself now stays. It used to be possible for the invite's title to quietly replace your own wording some time later.
If notifications are switched off in Settings, Chui no longer goes silent about a meeting starting: the offer appears inside the app when you open it.
0.1.1.86Mac 0.1.86
Connect an Outlook calendar from the iPhone and the Mac
Profile on the iPhone can now connect an Outlook calendar. Sign-in opens in a secure browser sheet and hands you back to Chui with the account connected; before this, a calendar could only be connected in the browser.
On the Mac, connecting Outlook opens sign-in in your usual browser and Chui picks up the result on its own, without you having to return to the window and finish anything by hand.
If you have already connected Outlook somewhere else, Profile offers a «Reconnect Outlook» row with your address filled in, so reconnecting takes one tap and no account picker. The row disappears once the calendar is connected again.
A refusal or a message from your workplace administrator now waits for you in Profile if you moved to Meetings while the browser was still asking. It used to be lost, leaving you with no explanation.
Closing the sign-in browser without finishing simply returns Profile to offering the connection, rather than leaving it stuck part-way.
Google calendars are still available in the browser only and are not offered on the iPhone or the Mac. Recording, the Bulgarian transcript and the summary are unchanged in this build.
0.1.1.85Mac 0.1.85
Google and Outlook meetings in one list, in the right order
Profile in the browser now shows today's meetings from Google and Outlook as a single list in true chronological order. The two accounts used to be listed one after the other, so a later meeting could appear above an earlier one.
A meeting could quietly go missing from the list; it now appears with the rest.
A recurring meeting such as a weekly stand-up now shows the date of the next instance, rather than the date the series first began.
Meeting times are correct across a clock change and for meetings created in another time zone. Some meetings used to be shown an hour early or late.
All-day entries, birthdays, public holidays and «Out of office» blocks stay out of the list, so Chui does not offer to record them.
A connected Outlook calendar no longer asks you to «Reconnect» after a brief hiccup — only when the connection has genuinely ended. Recording, the Bulgarian transcript and the summary are unchanged in this build.
0.1.1.84Mac 0.1.84
Connect an Outlook calendar in Profile, and sign-out now clears it
Profile in the browser has a new «CALENDAR» section. You can connect an Outlook account, see it listed by its address, and remove it again with «Remove».
«Connect another account» now lets you pick a different account, instead of offering the one you had just connected.
When a calendar connection is refused, Chui now tells you which of the three reasons it was. If your workplace has not allowed Chui access, you get a link pointing at your own company and a ready-made message to forward, rather than a dead end. If you close the consent screen yourself, Chui simply invites you to try again.
On the iPhone, Profile offers Outlook only. Google is not shown there, because it does not work on the phone yet.
Recording, the Bulgarian transcript and the summary are unchanged in this build.
0.1.1.83Mac 0.1.83
A Privacy section in Profile, and a way back to notifications
Profile now has a «Privacy» section with a «Improving Chui» switch. Your choice is saved, and the row keeps showing what you actually chose after you leave the screen and come back (#121).
In that same section, «Notifications» opens Chui's own notifications page in the iPhone's Settings rather than doing nothing or dropping you at the top of the list. If you had ever dismissed Chui's notification prompt, the row used to offer a button that could not work; it now tells you where the switch is, and updates itself when you come back with notifications on (#145).
On the Mac, Chui brings itself to the front as soon as sign-in finishes in the browser, instead of leaving you to find the window yourself (#144).
In a narrow Chui window on the desktop, the «looks like it is in a call» strip no longer sits on top of the search button (#146).
0.1.1.82Mac 0.1.82
Nothing visible in this build
This build changes only how Chui is packaged and released, so there is nothing you can see or do differently — recording, transcripts and summaries all behave exactly as they did in the last build.
0.1.1.81
The Mac records a real meeting, with your voice on one side and the room on the other
A meeting recorded on a Mac now comes back with both halves in it — your own voice on the left, everything the machine played on the right. This is the first release in which Chui itself, rather than a test harness standing next to it, has recorded a Mac meeting from start to finish.
If the machine has no usable microphone, Chui refuses instead of reporting that it is recording your voice into an empty channel.
Recording on a phone is unchanged: starting, «Stop», the Bulgarian transcript and the summary all behave exactly as before.
0.1.1.80
The Mac offers to record a Zoom or Google Meet call as it starts
On a Mac, Chui now notices when a Zoom or Google Meet call begins — even with the app closed to the menu bar — and offers a banner that starts recording that meeting in one click.
Choosing «Dismiss» on the offer now clears it from Notification Centre too, so there is nothing stale left to click once the meeting is over.
Signing in with Google using an email you had already used with Apple now returns you to Chui's own sign-in screen with «An account with this email already exists. Sign in with Apple.» Before this you landed on a blank page of English technical text with no way forward.
Sign-in with Apple, Google and Microsoft in a browser now reaches the provider's own screen every time. One of these doors could fail with an error before it ever opened.
chui.io/download is now in English for anyone who lands on it, with a Bulgarian version beside it, and the Mac app quietly picks up a newer build the next time you open it — never while you are recording.
0.1.1.79
Speaker names you set while a meeting is still processing now stick
Naming a speaker while a meeting is still being written up now holds. The name stays in the chips, in the transcript labels and in Meetings, instead of flipping back to «Speaker 2» a few seconds later.
Naming two voices quickly, one straight after the other, keeps both. The second name no longer wiped out the first.
A title you type on a meeting that is still processing is the one you keep. When the automatic summary title arrived it could overwrite what you had typed, or leave the field blank.
Renaming a speaker from the audio player on a finished meeting now repaints the labels in the transcript above at once, without leaving the meeting and coming back.
If a rename cannot be saved because you are offline, only that one name goes back to what it was. Every other name you had set stays as you set it.
0.1.1.78
A recording keeps going when you leave the record screen
You can now start a meeting and go anywhere else in the app — open Meetings, read a past meeting, take a look at People — and the recording carries on. An amber bar at the bottom keeps counting and takes you straight back; before this, the only way off the record screen was «Discard», which throws the meeting away. (#135)
Notes you type on the record screen, and their timestamps, are exactly as you left them when you come back. (#135)
On a long meeting the timer on the record screen and on the Lock Screen card stays honest. It had sometimes jumped to an impossible figure — hours into a meeting that had been running twenty minutes. (#134)
Ending a meeting from the Lock Screen while you are reading something else no longer pulls you out of what you were looking at. (#135)
On a phone the Stop dock no longer sits on top of the row of tabs at the bottom, and the way back to a running meeting is reachable from every screen. (#135)
Signing in with a Microsoft account works again — the button was missing from the consent page.
0.1.1.77
Meetings can be renamed
A finished meeting can now be called whatever you want. Open it, tap its title, type over it, then press Enter or tap away — a pencil sits beside the title so it is easy to find. The name you type is what Meetings shows from then on, and it stays yours even after the summary is written. It works on the phone and in a browser. (#116)
Nothing else changes in this build. Renaming quietly arrived with the previous one and was not written down here at the time, so if you already have that build you already have it.
0.1.1.76
A long meeting now comes back with its transcript and summary
A meeting of around an hour now finishes and comes back with a full transcript and summary. Long recordings had been giving up partway and never becoming ready, however long you waited. (#133)
Short meetings are unchanged and are still ready well under a minute after you press Stop.
0.1.1.75
The wait after Stop is much shorter on a long meeting
The phone now sends a meeting up to Chui while it is still running, instead of waiting for you to press Stop. On a long meeting most of the audio has already arrived by the time you stop, so «Your meeting is ready!» comes far sooner than you are used to. (#115)
A weak or lost network after the meeting can no longer strand a big recording, for the same reason: most of it left the phone while you were still talking. (#115)
0.1.1.74
Notes typed during a meeting now survive a force-quit and a lost signal
Notes you type while a meeting is running are now written to the phone the moment you type them, so force-quitting Chui from the app switcher before pressing Stop leaves both the recording and every word intact. Previously the words only existed in the app and could be lost. (#128)
Notes typed with no signal — airplane mode, a basement — now reach the meeting on their own once the network comes back, with the phone sitting untouched on the table. They no longer wait for you to reopen the app. (#128)
When several offline meetings with notes are waiting at once, the oldest one's notes now arrive too. They had been quietly dropped while the newer ones went up. (#128)
On a phone with almost no free space, the recording itself now always appears in Meetings after you press Stop. If anything has to give way it is the typed notes, not the audio. (#128)
0.1.1.73
When a meeting fails, Chui now explains it in plain Bulgarian
If a meeting fails to process, the box on the Summary tab now says what went wrong in plain Bulgarian, instead of showing the raw English wording that came back from the service doing the work. (#127)
When only the write-up fails, the message now tells you the transcript is already there and points you to the Transcript tab, one row above. In English, German, Spanish and French the sentence names that tab exactly as it is labelled on screen in that language. (#127)
Failures caused by the recording itself — audio cut off mid-write, a meeting with no sound, a file Chui cannot read — no longer offer a «Retry» button that could never work, and tell you what to do instead. Failures on our side keep the button. (#127)
A general processing error now asks you to try again later, rather than assuring you the recording was fine and leaving you pressing the button over and over. (#127)
0.1.1.72
Correcting a speaker's name no longer costs Chui the voice
Fixes and small improvements throughout the app.
0.1.1.71
Browser recordings upload as they run, and survive a closed tab
A meeting recorded on chui.io is now sent up while it is still running, so pressing Stop finishes in a few seconds instead of leaving you waiting for a long recording to go up all at once. (#96)
If the tab closes mid-recording — a crash, or you close it without pressing Stop — the meeting comes back under its own name when you reopen chui.io and finishes uploading. Before, everything recorded up to that point could be lost. (#96)
A recording left on Pause in one tab is now left alone when you open Chui in a second tab. The second tab no longer takes the paused meeting over or clears it. (#96)
A meeting whose upload completes just as the signal drops — a lift, or airplane mode flicking on — is now transcribed once and written up once, instead of being sent again or wrongly reported as having no audio. (#125)
An older recording still waiting in the queue on your phone now either uploads or keeps waiting after a force-quit and relaunch, rather than claiming the audio is gone from the device when it is still there. (#125)
0.1.1.70
Queued recordings keep their place, and Split puts people back
A recording still waiting to upload from your phone now stays waiting, however long it takes — after a force-quit, or a night with no network, or while you open Chui on the web or the Mac in the meantime. Before, such a meeting could be written off as «This meeting was not recorded» while the audio was still sitting on the phone, and the write-up never arrived. (#124)
An old meeting stuck on «Queued» with a spinner — including one from a few days ago — now plainly says «This meeting was not recorded» and offers only delete, instead of a retry that could never work. (#124)
Pressing «Split» on a person you had merged brings them back with their own name and every one of their meetings. (#97)
If somebody else was folded in while you were looking at the older merge, «Split» now says «somebody else was folded in in the meantime — try again» rather than leaving a nameless or unopenable person behind; pressing it again undoes the newest fold. (#97)
After splitting people apart, no meeting is left attached to a person you cannot open, and everyone in People keeps a name and the right number of meetings. (#97)
0.1.1.69
Meeting names you type stay put, and Back goes back
Renaming a finished meeting now sticks everywhere: the new Bulgarian title shows on Meetings, on the meeting itself and on the person's page, and it survives the summary finishing. Before, a name you had just typed could be replaced by the one the summariser wrote. (#116)
Renaming a meeting twice in quick succession, or renaming one while it is still being processed, now keeps the last name you typed. It used to be possible for an older name to come back a moment later. (#116)
The rename field for a meeting that has not been named yet opens empty. It used to be pre-filled with the date, so tapping away could save «yesterday at 14:20» as the title. (#116)
A very long title now wraps onto several lines instead of running off the right edge past the pencil. (#116)
Opening one of a person's meetings and pressing Back returns you to that person, not to the full Meetings list. The same holds when the person has since been folded into someone else — you land in People rather than nowhere. (#117)
A recording made on the Apple Watch that turns out to be unplayable now appears as a failed meeting on the phone. Before, it could vanish from the watch and the phone both, and the only copy was gone. (#118)
0.1.1.68
Interrupted recordings come back whole, and Split undoes a merge
A recording that was interrupted hard — a call, a force-quit, a flat battery — now comes back at its full length. Before, such a meeting could arrive holding only its first few seconds, and the rest of the audio never appeared. (#95)
Pressing «Stop» on a broken-up recording now returns you to the meeting almost at once, and the whole thing is transcribed and written up a little later; the joining is no longer done on the phone. (#95)
A meeting recorded on an older build that disappeared from Meetings after a crash now comes back on its own and uploads without you doing anything. (#95)
Two people in People can be folded into one, and «Split» takes it back: notes and labels return to the person they came from, and if there was an older merge underneath, pressing it again comes apart in turn. (#97)
The sheet that asks you to confirm a merge now shows each name in the slot it belongs to, so you can see which person is being kept before you confirm. (#97)
If you rename someone after merging them, «Split» is no longer offered for that fold — it used to be, and undoing would quietly replace the name you had just typed. (#97)
0.1.1.67
Long meetings finish, and the retry button only promises what it can
A long recording — an hour or more — now transcribes and gets its write-up. Before, a meeting that size could upload and then fail, leaving you with the audio and nothing written. (#113)
Opening an older meeting that failed and tapping retry now either goes through or explains in Bulgarian why it cannot. You no longer see a raw English error sentence in the box. (#113)
The retry button stays greyed out until the meeting has finished refreshing, so a second impatient tap is impossible. (#113)
If the audio for a meeting is no longer on our side, the retry button now goes away for good rather than coming back to be pressed again with no hope of working. (#113)
A meeting that got its transcript but failed at the write-up keeps its player and its transcript while you retry — they used to vanish from the screen. (#113)
0.1.1.66
A killed recording finds its meeting, and stopping needs no signal
If Chui was killed or crashed part-way through a recording, the recovered audio now lands on the same meeting as the notes you typed during it. Before, it could arrive as a second, separate meeting on Meetings, leaving your notes on one and the sound on the other. (#111)
Tapping «Stop» with no signal, or a bad one, now moves you straight to the meeting. The screen used to sit on «Stopping…» with only «Discard» still tappable, and waiting it out was the only way past; nothing on the recording screen waits for a network any more. Once you have signal again, both the audio and every line of your notes are there. (#91)
If Chui could not create the meeting when you started recording — usually a poor connection — the recording is no longer lost. It is kept and appears once the connection returns. (#91)
0.1.1.65
An interrupted recording now comes back the right size, and is written up to the end
If a recording is cut short — the app is killed, a call arrives, the battery dies — Chui joins the pieces back into one meeting. That joined file was being saved about three and a half times larger than it should have been, and a long one could end up too big to transcribe: you were left with the audio, but the write-up stopped part-way or never arrived. Joined meetings are now the size they were always meant to be, so they send faster and are written up all the way to the end. Ordinary recordings, which are never joined, were never affected.
Signing in with Google or Microsoft has begun to appear on the sign-in screen. It is not finished yet — Sign in with Apple is still the way in.
0.1.1.64
Your meeting is written up in the language it was held in
The transcript and the summary now follow the language people actually spoke, not the language the app is set to. A Bulgarian meeting comes back in Bulgarian and an English one in English, even if you have Chui set to the other. A meeting is a record of what was said, so Chui does not translate it. (#112)
If an older meeting was written up in the wrong language, open it and tap «Write the summary again» — the new summary comes back in the language of the meeting.
Buttons, screens and notifications still follow the app language you chose in Profile. Only the meeting itself follows the room.
0.1.1.63
Fixes and improvements
If your company blocks Chui from connecting an Outlook work calendar, you now get a plain explanation of what was refused and a link you can forward to whoever administers it, instead of the attempt simply failing. Signing in itself is unaffected.
Behind the scenes, Chui can now tell the difference between two ways a recording can come out short — sound thinning out steadily throughout, or capture stopping briefly and restarting. They need opposite fixes and nothing Chui had could tell them apart, which is why a 43-minute meeting lost fifty seconds in August with every check reporting it healthy. Nothing about this is visible while you record; it is what will identify the cause. (#108)
0.1.1.62
Chui's screens follow the app language you choose, in English or Bulgarian
In Profile you can set the app's language. Choose English and the recording notice, the lock-screen card, the watch, the notification that says a meeting is ready and even the name under the icon are all in English; switch back and everything returns to Bulgarian, «Chui» included. Parts of the app used to speak Bulgarian to people who had not asked for it. (#92, #109)
Renaming a speaker with no connection now tells you the name was not saved and keeps what you typed, with «Retry» to save it once you are back online. The name that survives is the last one you typed — before, a rename could vanish without a word. (#103)
If Chui is force-quit or replaced mid-recording, you get at most one failed meeting for it, and it does not reappear on later launches. The audio Chui rescued is kept rather than discarded. (#105)
A meeting of an hour or more uploads in parts and picks up where it left off as you move in and out of signal, instead of starting over or giving up.
Profile now offers «What's new», which opens these release notes in the browser; a recording in progress keeps running while you read.
0.1.1.61
Long meetings finish, and short ones stop reading «0 min»
When a long recording does need time, Chui keeps saying it is still working and goes on trying quietly over the next few hours, rather than sending you a failure notice early.
A recording under a minute reads in seconds — in the list of Meetings, on the meeting itself, in search results and on a person's page. A 40-second meeting used to say «0 min». (#89)
Several recordings made offline all go up once you reconnect, instead of every one of them waiting behind the oldest. (#86)
If the audio for a recording has genuinely gone missing, Chui says so plainly instead of promising forever that it «will upload when there is a connection» — and if that audio turns up again, it starts uploading on its own. (#86)
0.1.1.60
Rescued audio opens again, and the upload notice clears
If Chui is force-quit or dies mid-recording it keeps the audio. The screen that offers that audio back now opens instead of failing — including with the phone offline, which is exactly the moment it used to refuse. Recovered audio goes on to transcribe and summarise like any other meeting. (#87)
A finished meeting that has already uploaded stops saying it «will upload when there is a connection» hours after it landed. (#86)
0.1.1.59
The Lock Screen card gets its timer, level and buttons back
The timer stays readable past an hour rather than being trimmed.
0.1.1.58
Record gets its own line above the tabs
The record button sits on its own full-width row above Meetings and People, instead of reading like a third tab wedged between them. (#84)
Each tab has a picture beside its name and turns amber while you are standing on it.
No label in the bottom bar wraps or gets cut off in any of the five languages.
0.1.1.57
Stopping from the Lock Screen no longer costs you the meeting
Pressing Stop on the Lock Screen used to end the app while it was still joining the recording together: an 89-minute meeting arrived as 22 seconds. A meeting stopped that way now survives whole. (#83)
Meetings can offer you leftover audio from a recording that ended badly and turn it into an ordinary meeting you can read — no cable and no laptop.
A meeting that does come back short says so, and says why.
0.1.1.56
A tab bar, and notifications that open the right meeting
Chui has tabs: Meetings, the record button, and People — which is a place of its own now rather than a row buried in settings. (#82)
On a wide window the tabs become a side rail, with one record button and nothing covering the last row of your list.
Tapping the «meeting is ready» notification opens that exact meeting instead of dropping you on the list; tapping it while signed out lands on Sign in rather than an error. (#78)
The notification speaks the meeting's own language — Bulgarian, English, German, Spanish or French — instead of always Bulgarian. (#79)
0.1.1.55
A dossier per person, and a notification that knows when to stay quiet
People: each person has a short written account of who they are and what you have discussed, built up one meeting at a time — not a pile of quotes. (#18)
What you correct by hand — relationship, organisation, role — stays corrected, and stays empty if you clear it. The app's own guess never overwrites you.
No banner for the meeting you are already looking at; the wording is «Your meeting is ready!» when the summary lands and «Something went wrong with your meeting.» when it does not. (#16)
Claude can now change a person's details, not only read them.
0.1.1.54
The truncation warning stops hiding behind a silent notification
If a recording was cut short and you were never actually shown the notice at the time — notifications off, delivered quietly, banners switched off — the meeting now carries the red warning afterwards. With banners on you get the notice while it happens and no warning later, because you were already told. (#20)
The warning lands on the meeting it belongs to and never on the one you started next.
0.1.1.53
Nothing you can see
No change you can act on: this build carried measurement and release tooling only. It is here because every build gets an entry, including the ones with nothing in them for you. (#64, #67)
0.1.1.52
Asking for notifications on a screen that says what they are for
Recording resumes within a second or two of a call ending, and the seconds between hanging up and resuming are captured rather than reported as a long pause.
The interruption notice says the recording is interrupted and will resume, and stops explaining iOS to you. (#13)
A browser tab keeps its session across a refresh instead of occasionally losing it. (#54)
0.1.1.51
Uploads, deletes and the Lock Screen card
You stay signed in across an update, with your meetings where you left them. (#47)
A meeting the app had to rebuild after a failed upload no longer strands the screen you left open on it. (#58)
One recording can no longer turn into two meetings. (#27)
0.1.1.50
Fixes and improvements
Updating no longer asks again for a permission you had already granted.
A recording filed for import before an update is uploaded once rather than twice, so it can no longer arrive as two copies of the same conversation. (#25)
Two recordings of the same length in one session stay two separate meetings, each with its own audio.
0.1.1.49
Coming back from a call
Take a call in the middle of a recording and Chui comes back quickly afterwards, and says so, rather than leaving you to find out later.
While the call is up the app says the recording is interrupted, instead of showing a level meter over silence.
The audio from after the call lands in the same meeting even if you never reopen the app — the phone does the recovery on its own.
0.1.1.48
Chui tells you when a meeting is ready
A notification when a recording has finished being transcribed and summarised — on the phone, and in a browser tab signed into the same account. Until this build Chui had no way of telling you anything once you had closed it. (#14, #15)
Speaker labels: one person who had been split into two or three voices is merged back into one. (#1)
This is the first build with notes of its own. Everything above it on this page is written per build; everything below is grouped by the day it shipped.
0.1.1.42 – 0.1.1.472026-09-07 · 09:03–11:58
Told during the meeting, not after it
An interruption is announced while it is happening, instead of only turning up as a red warning on the finished meeting hours later. (#9)
0.1.1.37 – 0.1.1.412026-09-06 · 08:16–22:24
The chrome sweep — labels that fit, a scrub bar you can read
Buttons stop breaking mid-word: the row moves instead of the label snapping.
The transcript's scrub bar is drawn as an axis, so it reads as something you can drag rather than a decoration.
The list scrolls under a header that stays put, at every window width, and a wide window gets the desktop layout on purpose rather than by accident.
0.1.1.36
A recording that dies mid-meeting is rebuilt, not resuscitated
When capture dies in the middle of a meeting — a call, another app taking the microphone — Chui now starts a fresh recorder on a fresh file and joins the pieces at the end, instead of trying to revive one that is already dead.
A meeting's length comes off the audio file itself. Thirty-five minutes of one meeting had been filed as a pause nobody asked for, because the app trusted a clock instead of the recording.
0.1.1.35
The five languages, in the build
The five languages reach the phone build itself, so the app really does open in the language you set rather than falling back to Bulgarian.
The rest of this build is work you cannot see: the server, and tests standing in front of the recording path.
0.1.1.26 – 0.1.1.342026-09-06 · 06:00–21:01
Imports, an upload queue that never loses a recording, and five languages
Hand Chui an audio file from anywhere — a voice message, another recorder — and it becomes an ordinary meeting.
A recording that reached the disk is never lost to a bad network: uploads queue, retry by themselves and resume when you come back online, and nobody has to press anything. «Waiting to upload» is a stage, not a failure.
A meeting can be deleted, and the question is asked in words that name the meeting you are about to lose.
Search finds Cyrillic and Latin in the same breath — «test» finds «тест».
The app opens in your own language: Bulgarian, English, German, Spanish or French.

The watch records on its own, and a recording can be held
The Apple Watch records a whole meeting standalone and hands the file to the phone afterwards — the point being that the phone never comes out.
A recording can be paused and resumed, and the held time is not counted as lost audio.
The record screen becomes one bar that starts and stops the meeting, and a mis-tap is Cancel rather than a meeting you did not mean to keep.
The timer stops when the recorder stops, instead of ticking on over silence.

The same app in a browser, and Claude can read your meetings
chui.io: the same screens in a tab, signed into the same account as the phone, with the same meetings in it.
Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your meetings and they can answer: Chui speaks MCP, so an assistant can search your transcripts without you pasting anything.
Search across meetings, pull a list to refresh it, name a speaker, and notes keep the moment in the meeting at which you typed them.

The first builds — record it, and get a summary back
Record a meeting on the phone: it uploads on its own, gets transcribed, and comes back as a summary written in Bulgarian.
Play a meeting back, and steer the audio from the transcript.
A card on the Lock Screen while a recording is running.
A meeting belongs to a person rather than to a phone — accounts, and Sign in with Apple as the way in.
