Listening back

Playing the recording, and the temporary link an assistant can hand you.

Every meeting keeps its audio — unless the account or its company chose to keep audio only for a number of days (Settings, changed by asking), after which the meeting keeps its words and says its recording was removed. The app plays it with the transcript beside it: tapping a passage starts playback from that moment, and playback scrolls the transcript along with it.

get_audio_link() produces a temporary link for you to open in a browser and listen to. It opens the meeting itself on chui.io — the summary, the whole transcript and a player, with tapping a passage starting the recording there — and it needs no sign-in. It is valid for about twelve hours for your own meeting and about an hour for one a colleague shared with you. An assistant cannot listen to it — it has no ears — so the right move is to offer the link, not to try to fetch or transcribe it.

The link opens that one meeting and reaches nothing else in your account. It is not a sign-in and it publishes nothing: the meeting is not given a public address, nothing appears in Settings → Public links, and nobody who has not been handed the link can find it. If you open it in a browser that is already signed into Chui and you can see that meeting, it takes you into Chui on the meeting instead.

A link that has already been issued keeps working until it expires by itself, even if the meeting stops being shared with you in the meantime. That tail is deliberate and short, and it is why these links expire rather than being withdrawable: there is nothing to withdraw, only something to wait out.

A published link is the other thing entirely — a lasting public address you create on purpose, which can carry the recording too if you say so, and which you can stop. That is under Who else can see a meeting.

There is no audio when the recording never reached Chui — a meeting marked as having no recording, or one whose upload failed. The app says which.

Taking the text away

The transcript and the summary can be copied or downloaded from the meeting screen.
