How to find a passage across every meeting, and when the full transcript is worth reading.
Every meeting is searchable the moment it is transcribed — titles, notes, transcripts and summaries, all of them. Searching is the cheap way in; reading a transcript is the expensive one.
search_meetings() looks across every meeting on the account and returns short matching passages with the meeting each came from. Searches are in the language the meeting was held in, whatever that was.
A word finds its other endings. Each word is cut back to its stem before it is looked for, so «срещи» finds «среща», «срещата» and «срещите», and «meetings» finds «meeting». It works in Bulgarian, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Turkish and Greek; in Czech, Slovak, Polish and Macedonian a word still finds only what STARTS with it. A stem also finds words that only look related («срещ» finds «срещу»), and a word whose stem changes in the middle («напускане», «напусна») is still missed — a search that comes back empty is worth one more try with the other form before it is worth an answer.
Either alphabet finds the other where the word is the same letters twice: «deploy» also finds «деплой», so there is no reason to search a term twice to cover both spellings. A word spelled by ear rather than transliterated («рилийз» for «release») is not one of those.
Meetings containing all the words rank first. If nothing contains them all, Chui broadens to meetings matching any of them and says that it has.
get_meeting().get_transcript() is for when the exact wording matters. A full meeting runs to fifteen or twenty thousand tokens, so it comes back a window at a time: whole speaker turns, never a cut sentence, with the offset to ask for the next window. The transcript separates voices but cannot name them: it says speaker_0, speaker_1 and so on. Naming a speaker in the app turns them into a person, and from then on their name appears in the transcript in place of the number — see The people in your meetings.
The app has the same search in its own box, over the same four fields, and a second one for searching within one open meeting.
